Thats a bummer :(
Be it now, or when it's on sale, go for it and you won't regret it.
However considering that beating the game also unlocks a bonus mode and such i can still see me replay it and i also did not uncover all the secrets that the game has to offer so there is still stuff to do (also may try to beat that time since i had to unnessesary backtrack to get heartsquids i could have gotten early same with certaint Chacklebats)
And considering that you mentioned guacamelee it took me just as long to beat that game although i ignored the El Infernio challenges for the most part (only did the 10 Silver ones you need for Pollo BOmber in the Super Turbo Championship Edition)

But while previous game was just good, this one is pretty awesome, even if short. And great as a beginner's metroidvania.
Just finished it, took me 8-9 hours (100%)
