Confusion with Squid oil

I'm at Spider Island and Poe wants me to get squid oil. From my research, its at Sequin Island. Okay. But how could I get back there? Also, how do I acquire it?

Basically go back to the island you come from first as in meet Risky Boots at the ship then go to Squid Baron at the far right of Sequin Land.

But I can't go before Poe so I'm essentially stuck..

just talk to Poe, you will automatically appear on the other side
