I enjoyed the game though, and still miss it.
and this
It was a vicious cycle of people with no knowledge informing people with no knowledge. The player base reduced to the point where having multiple maps would not be feasible for their tiny player base and in listening to a group of vocal people with 0 to little genre knowledge they alienated those interested in playing.
Why would you like to a see a multi billion dollar company resort to crowd funding anything?
Didn't work out so well
The game was not overly complicated but definitely had a lot of nuances that took time to learn, one of the reasons why there was such a big gap between new and experienced players was because when you played a game everyone did not start equally, modifications were permanent and taken with you from game to game unlike other games like this where you earn 100% of your upgrades in the game, while I did like the system, it kind of made it fun to unlock and use new modifications to your play style the downside was that it took a while to learn the best paths to take, etc.
The other thing that I thought was a mistake was how quickly they were trying to push the Esports aspect, the game at no point ever had enough of a player base to enter the Esports market and trying to introduce it so soon was a mistake, the other side of this is that they were probably getting to a point where they had to make some money off of the game or it would die so this may have just been a hail mary.
Excellent game though still one of my all time favorite moba/turret defense games.
My favorite characters were Katan and Gaslight batman, but almost all of the characters were fun to play, great character and skill design.
I have never enjoyed league but for many years I played Dota 2 until it lost its appeal. I do know many people that wish DC would pick this title up throw some money behind it and let it loose again. The ground work is there just toss some money at a small hungry indie studio looking to make a name for itself and turn them loose on it.
But this game ( Infinite Crisis ) was great if the the main map wasnt based on LoL's worst game mode.
The one and only stream they had was a bunch of League players who knew nothing about anything DC or comics. The guy playing Arcane supergirl called her "Human Torch" don't ever give that idiot a gender reveal party.
I honestly feel like the game didn't need items. The game needed to focus on fixing the map and the core aspects of the game but they didn't listen to people and its character roster was straight ♥♥♥♥. It tried to have some kind of story but it honestly did not need it. It honestly held the game back.
