Judging by that weak stab in the trailer i don’t think the combat is good besides its one of those cozy games dont think thats the focus
It’s mostly auto attack, with each weapon having different abilities with cooldowns. Like spear and shield has a a shield bash that draws aggro and a shield raise that increases defense. Sword has a big swing, mace has a smash attack, etc. it’s simple, but I wouldn’t quite say it’s boring. They’re always working on it, too.
The focus is in civilization/community building, I wouldn't expect combat to be anything more complex than its current iteration.

PvP is not comabt based, its more economics/foreign relations based

Combat was in its test phase last alpha, so chances are we will see some changes, What it was last time though, was click to target, then fight using currently equipped weapon, using a bunch of skills on cooldown. Balance was wack obviously and combat felt like something you were forced into.

Theres no pvp, though there is an empire system. Basically, the people with the most irl money gets to stroke their ingame ego with shining titles and some colors on the map. Completely pointless to the average player though. You can also filter of the empire stuff on the map.

Monsters that were in the game last alpha was basically wolves that spawned a bunch at night, making the game unplayable without kiting a whole bunch. You could fight them 1vs1, eventually 1vs2, but when 7 attacks you at the same time, you run. At daytime you targeted them one and one and hoped they would eventually get stuck so you could get back to actually playing the game due to their way too fast resapwn time.
