Are you guys still taking request for the join playtest? Really like to get involved in this and haven't heard anything yet.

There is nothing at the moment, for now we only know the early access release date but there is a possibility of a quick test in april !

Originally you could buy your ticket from alpha access directly from their website, but with them moving to Steam, it shall be feasible to get access to the early access from here, once they get closer to release.
