Goblins
When fighting against the goblins, narrator Graham states that you either defeated the goblins with swiftness or patience. I didn't find another way of defeating the goblins other than killing them with my bow. If i do nothing/have patience, i get killed.
Does someone know what he meant?

~With swiftness: Aim and shoot at all of the goblins with the aim to kill. After you shoot a goblin once, it will be injured and try to walk away- shoot them again to kill them. Show no mercy.

~With patience: This is the easier way. Only shoot at goblins that are trying to harm you. These are goblins who are holding spears and one goblin up top that will try to throw a rock at you. When they are injured, let them walk away.

You should probably rescue the merchant while you're at it. =p Not necessary, as I just found out.

We don't really know yet, a lot of choices you make in Episode 1 are going to effect future episodes.

so can the merchant die?

Being a KQ game, I doubt that's his fate if you don't save him, but there's sure to be some sort of consequence for not doing so (probably negative).

Saving him earns you a coin, leaving him to fend for himself earns you nothing. Far as I can tell.

There wasn't a coin on the cart? There was in my case, but I did the well first, meaning that was the only place I could've found money to proceed at that point, at least I think so (mentioning this because I had a gold coin left over at the end of at least one of my playthroughs, and I don't think there was anything left to purchase).
