Help I ran out of gold coins

I'm in the middle of the quest of Duel of Strength. At the start, I got one coin remaining since I was duped by the merchant and mistakenly bought the weed whacker. Now I have no gold coin at all. I can't get the pie and the lantern. Can't use the bow or go inside the cave or give the pie to Olfie. How am I supposed to continue?

Keep exploring. You will find more gold coins. You bought the scyth so go to the well and learn how to use the bow. Then you can get across the gap on top of the cliff before you get to the floating island and you will find the merchant and get your cold coin back.

I'm stuck at the same place. Been exploring for an hour or so without much luck. Lost my fruit picker to bee hive 😕 If someone can give a hint, much appreciated.

If you have completed the dragon's well, Achaka will have taught you to fire an arrow. There is a chasm with a bit of colorful yarn near it. You can shoot it across the canyon to continue, and will find another coin on the other side

I haven't finished that one. I'm on a mission to find the eye of a beast. All I've done is find two ingredients for the pie. That's all. And now I'm stuck.

Hmm. Have you spent your coin already, or are you out of coins? If so, what did you buy with the coin? I'd need to know that to tell you what to do next WildlifeMarshal

If you have the weedwacker, go complete the Dragon's well. You can reach it by going out the back gate of the village, to the thorn path, then use the tool you bought from the blacksmith to get to the well.

What if you bought the lantern first? This is my second playthrough, but I picked the pie first on my first playthrough.

Been a while since I did that route, but I believe you'll need to pass through the cave with the wolves to find another coin. I'm not sure, but another topic mentions needing to complete the eye contest before the game will let you through there.
