i lost my saves from chapter 1 and am literally broken up about it. does anyone have a compassion save for me maybe please?

savegame is in path ...\Steam\steamapps\common\King's Quest\Binaries\Win\KQSave

doesn't matter if chapter 2 is already started or finished.

Here is a save file.

I played the crap out of the game for the research and footage I needed for my insane “Why We Loved Sierra Games” review/retrospective.

All 4 save slots are utilized:

Slot 1: “Screw Up” character. Basically tries to mess up everything in the game. Merchant gets kidnapped by goblins, Baker gets stung, don’t pay for the wheel, inconsistent choices, cheated in Duel of Wits, didn’t get wolf patch.

Slot 2: “Brawn good” character. Tries to do everything ‘right’ for the brawn path. Shoots dragon in the eye, shield wheel, rescues merchant, baker doesn’t get stung, didn’t cheat in Duel of Wits, got wolf patch, Note: Didn’t show goblins mercy.

Slot 3: “Brains good” character. Tries to do everything ‘right’ for brain path. Shoots dragon bell, table wheel, rescues merchant, baker doesn’t get stung, didn’t cheat in Duel of Wits, got wolf patch. Showed goblins mercy.

Slot 4: “Heart good” character. Tries to do everything ‘right’ for heart path. Frees dragon, bread wheel, rescues merchant, baker doesn’t get stung, didn’t cheat in Duel of Wits, got wolf patch. Showed goblins mercy.
