The Dragon (spoilers)?
What happened to the Dragon? Chapter I seemed to indicate that how we treated the dragon would influence later chapters, and in Chapter II, we had a flashforward to the future showing Graham as an old man running from the Dragon...But he's not seen or mentioned in Chapter 5? Budget issues???

There is still the epilogue to go, for all we know it might show up there.

We know Gwendolyn was obsessed with dragons. *hint hint*

Yeah, I think this will show up in the Epilogue...

Which kind of makes the whole "You don't need the epilogue, the game is complete without it" claims by the dev a bit false. Especially as without the epilogue the game ends on something of a cliffhanger.

But that's the thing. Classic literature would end on notes like this as well. It's pretty clear that Gwendolyn saw a quest waiting for her in the mirror, andd went rushing off to do it. It doesn't matter what it is, as it's not relative to the main narrative. The epilogue will be for people who just need that official wrap-up, like what all the townsfolk are doing now.

In Ch2 we see in the Magic Mirror Old Graham facing the Dragon, its assumesd in Ep5 that would happen.

I think the Epilogue will be about Gwendolyn and Gart as Playable Characters, TOG did say if these Episodes are succesful, they would do Another Season Pass starting the Kids as the Quest Players. Also i think it was in Ch2 you see Gart and Gwendolyn playing Chess, look at the Character Chess Pieces, its clearly the two Kids in Questing Clothing wearing the Adventurers Cap

Any idea when they said they would do a season 2 with Gwendolyn because that sounds fantastic!

As far as I know, Season 2 has not been officially confirmed as yet. I guess it's going to depend on how well Season 1 did financially as to whether Activision pony up funds for a new season.

Not sure if season 2 would be necessary as this series was okay, but nothing to write home about considering how it felt meh chapter 5 was imo.

I liked chapter 5, I was a little nonplussed by the cliffhanger ending, but I really liked what the devs were going for about old age and letting go. I enjoyed the series as a whole a lot and if they make another one, I will buy it just on the strength of this one.

After writing the comment on the other thread, I am starting to like chapter 5 more just for the same reason. I took the old age and letting go as the developers telling the fandom to let go of the old series and embrace the new series with new adventures. They are not saying to forget the classic games, but to let go of the fan remakes and the sequel that revolved entirely on Graham and KQ6, and instead, be open for new adventures with a new lead.

I rewatched the KQ6 scenes in chpt 5 on youtube, which makes this point clear as the villager tells Graham that legacy isn't what he leaves behind (his stories being retold constantly), but what he leaves in people's hearts (to inspire the thrills of adventuring in the hearts of Garts' and Gwens' ). In this scene, Graham is told to leave the castle for the young, which I took it as "Leave the KQ series for his descendents.."

Pretty much. Even the original KQ games dealt with this in a way, with Graham passing on his hat to his children. Now its passed on to his grandchildren. It feels like something of a natural progression.
