how to DL epilogue (I do own complete collection)
Hi,

yesterday I could only download a small patch (ca. 48 MB) but no epilogue even though I own the complete collection.
I verified the game files several times and restarted Steam several times but it's not triggering the download of the epilogue (updating is set to "auto-update").

Under DLC I can see each individual chapter (5 in total) and the Season Pass, so in total 6 entries, but NO epilogue listed there.

I own "King's Quest The Complete Collection - Retail".
So I do own the complete collection (I did not have to purchase the Season Pass).
But NO epilogue for me.

Anyone else with the same problem?

What have the developers messed up??? Did they forget they have various complete versions, some of them being Retail?

it should automatically be in your game. It should be under Chapter 5.

It's not there, there was no download besides the patch.

I did get it. Maybe restart Steam? It now appears in my in game menu and I did nothing special

Restart steam.

I restarted Steam several times, it does not trigger any new download (it is set to auto-update) and in the game's menu there are only 5 chapters, no epilogue.

If you go to your "account details" (by clicking on your username) and then to "product keys and activations" how is your copy of this game named there?

Mine does say:
"King's Quest The Complete Collection - Retail".

So I do own the complete collection (I did not have to purchase the Season Pass).
But NO epilogue.

Try verifying the game cache.

Also under DLC make sure the Epilogue is enabled.

I have verified the game cache already. Under DLC I can see each individual chapter (5 in total) and the Season Pass, so in total 6 entries, but NO epilogue listed there.

Are you entirely certain you bought the Complete Collection? Maybe double check your purchase history. If you bought Complete you should see all five chapters, the season pass, the epilogue, and the wallpaper.

As I said I do own this:
"King's Quest The Complete Collection - Retail"

If you go to your "account details" (by clicking on your username) and then to "product keys and activations" how is your copy of this game named there?

Did you buy it directly from Steam or activate it some other way? I wonder if there's an odd extra step needed for people who got it via retail purchase.
Gabby Dec 21, 2016 @ 10:21pm
(Retail) is a tag added to a key activation.
Lilly-Cat Dec 22, 2016 @ 1:12am
Yes, Retail means it was not puchased via Steam itself.
But the developers said the epilogue is an extra for the complete edition, obviously they messed up something.

It's possible. I would contact them directly and inform them of the problem you're having.

I have this issue too... no epilogue for me :(

I have an email for a direct purchase from Steam: "King's Quest: The Complete Collection, $39.99 USD" dated July 15, 2015. Where's the epilogue?

Edit: In my account details, I have:
"15 Jul, 2015 King's Quest: The Complete Collection Steam Store"

And in the DLC list it has Chapter 1--5, Epilogue, Season Pass and Wallpaper, all listed as "Installed".
