What's the difference between the collection & complete collection?
Confused by the multiple King's Quest that come up on a search. I have a CD called Kings Quest Collectors Edition - 15th anniversary. This has 1-6 inc both versions of 1.

Why is there such a big price difference between the collection & complete collection?

The difference is that the collection you have in your posession is a collection of the classic series whereas this complete collection is a new game that is consisted of multiple chapters like King's Quest 7. Unlike KQ7, the chapters in the new KQ game are episodes that were released separately every couple of months. I suspected that someone would be confused by the title of "King's Quest Complete Collection" as that collection is a new game series - I wonder why Activision or TOG didn't use the alternate title "King's Quest: Adventures of Graham" as such a title would clear up confusion. Speaking of which, I am not sure if that is an official title or one coined up by fans to differentiate the two.

Anyway, King's Quest: Complete Collection is technically not out yet as the epilouge for the series didn't come out yet. However, all the chapters (the final one came out back in Oct of this year.) were released. If you are planning to buy the game, it is recommended to get the completed edition game since the epilogue chapter is exclusive for that edition.

Other than the classic collection being on steam, the reason why there's multiple entries of King Quest games on Steam is because the episodes from the new KQ game can be purchased individually. Hope this helps.
