Like any adventure games with decisions, it is an "illusion of choices" and the end results is largely the same.
At the current price point and the technology, it is really impossible for a game to have choices that changes the story drastically. Not to spoil the game too much, you have a choice in chapter 3, but it doesn't really affect the storyline too much since the decision is interchangable.
That said, it is tough for a game to have a decision that is completely different unless the budget is large enough to cover areas that wouldn't be used in certain story paths.
