I hate point click adventures, but from what I played of episode one it didnt feel like that and more like a teltale game.

It's essentially a telltale game with more actual puzzles.

it's very story driven. tell tale is more like a movie with you pressing an option every few sentences to make sure it keeps you involved.
king's quest gives you a LOT more freedom than a tell tale game.... but as far as the story lines go, they say your choices have an impact later in the game but the ending is essentially the same.

They have an impact in little things. The story is the same, but some moments will be different depending on your choices, you may get some items and not others... Which, really, is in line with (one of) the morales of this story =p

In my opinion, this game is worse than a telltale games adventure game. Each episode becomes more and more linear with your decisions being unimportant. The general consensus is that the the last two episodes are bad whereas the first episode is the best. While my favorite episode is Chapter 3 for having a well-throughout storyline, some feel that is the chapter where the freedom from chapter 1 and 2 is taken away and replaced by long customers and very linear gameplay. Episode 4 feels like the Broken Sword 3 and 4 where the majority of the puzzles involve involve moving blocks around. Episode 5 puzzles are basically word and mathematical problems that the TOG likely gotten from a Google episode.

After chapter 2, the puzzles are traditional ones unlike Sierra and Lucasarts adventures where you guide a block through a hole by moving different shaped blocks to form a route for instance. Story also goes down the drain to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ after chapter 3.

Tell tale games looks like a child in front of this. (Play older games in GOG, then the reboot, and I know you will never go back to telltale apart from the Walking Dead, and Wolf Among US.)

Someone hasn't played Game of Thrones.

Add TT's Walking Dead and a Wolf Among Us to that category despite that the individual referenced it.

Unless season 2 deals with a Queen Gwendolyn comtemplating the decision whether to behead Gart for treason, it is safe to say that the TOG King's Quest looks like a child in front of the TT games.
