TyranoBuilder Visual Novel Studio

TyranoBuilder Visual Novel Studio

Linking TyranoBuilder and Unity?
I'm looking at the way forward for my project(s), and to be honest, I'm not sure TyranoBuilder on its own has everything I need.

My wishlist of features, things that I think are absolutely mandatory in a professional end-product, would include:

* Dynamic resolution adjustment/window size
* More export options for distribution

At the moment, I'm running a Windows machine, and so can only export to Windows and browser formats (and possibly mobile too). Ultimately, though, I'd like to get a VN onto (for example) the PSN store, or the Wii eShop.

TyranoBuilder on its own obviously doesn't work with those formats.
But Unity does.

Is there any way to export a TB project to Unity? Any plans afoot for a kind of bridge program that could be created? Or maybe even perhaps re-brand TB as a Unity plugin?

I really like the TyranoBuilder interface - it makes the design and development process so easy - and I'd really like to keep using it if I can. It's just the back-end of the process that I feel is lacking a little bit.

Any advice/feedback/information would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Shane,

I am not currently aware of bridges for you to do the cross-over but I will look into it for you as for the features those two elements are things we are looking into for the future.

While it's not related to TyranoBuilder, Fungus is probably your best bet if you want to go the route of VN via Unity. It also uses a Visual Scripting style like TyranoBuilder. There's also Dialogue Engine for Unity that can pull from Twine, Chat Mapper, and Articy:Draft. Dialogue Engine needs a front-end.

There's currently no means to transfer from the type of information stored in TyranoScript into anything else. Though I'd imagine with Notepad++ you can try to change it into something that you can parse with RenPy.
