Question about Live2D (Free version)
Hello! I don't know where to ask this, since I've never been really active in the VN community, so I figured I'd ask here since TyranoBuilder has Live2D support :SisterRom:

Apparently, you can only have 1 1024x1024 texture file per model in the free version of Live2D Cubism Editor. Could someone tell me how this works, please? Am I just supposed to scale down each part, then re-expand them when placing them onto the model or something? Is there another method to work around this limitation? :SisterRam: I don't have the budget to pay for the full program...

Thank you ahead of time! :blanc:

Actually, when working with live2D, what you do is make your model (your character) and you can put as much detail as you want on it. Just remember that the free version will only allow up to 100 "pieces" for your character. Make a separate transparent image and copy all of your parts over. If you use a 1024x1024 image, it might be a bit difficult as it COULD slow the program. (The bigger the image, the laggier the program gets. )

Live2D characters work the exact same way as regular characters in TyrannoBuilder. You can easily resize them if necessary. Just be sure to have the Live2D feature active. ^_^

I hope I answered what you are trying to ask.

I forgot to mention: make sure you create your character on a smaller canvas so that you can fit all of your parts on one image.

On one of the tutorial pages, it says "If you use the Free version, remember that you can use only one Texture with the size of 1024 x 1024 pixels." Isn't that saying I can only have one texture file, or has this changed?

Yes, this is correct, you can only have one texture file with the free version, but it doesn't necessarily have to be 1024x1024. It's got to be like squares of 4 (or something like that). For example: 125x125, 500x500, 800x800, etc. The MAX is 1024x1024.

I was referring to the amount of textures, not the size ^^;;

Yes, I know. I stated twice that you can only have one texture... but I also said that it also doesn't need to be just one size. I said that because you said "that you can use only one Texture with the size of 1024 x 1024 pixels", and that is technically wrong. ^_^'
