In my mind, the fact that everything gets destroyed and then their plopped onto earth... It's one step away from making the whole trilogy "Just a Dream".
It also ruins the whole "Final Fantasy" feeling for me. The games are designed to take place in their own isolated universes. I don't mind crossovers, time travel, etc, but keep in fantasy please...
