The Bizarre case of Dynamic Framerate and NPC Target Flickering
Im having this really annoying bug where everytime Lightning tries to target something it will start flickering like hell, Item chests are going to start flickering between it's "idle" and "being used" animations, NPC's will just start moving their heads up and down (like they were trying to target you and canceling at each frame or so) and sometimes I have to mash like crazy just to access some of the "stores".

I wish I could record this and post here but Shadowplay refuses to work and OBS / Fraps will just crash the game if I start recording.

The only real way to "fix" this is put the framerate back into the "fixed" option. Which will make everything run at locked 30 FPS and if you are using a 120hz+ monitor will make your screen tear more than a Browns fan in the last minute of the match.

I have no idea how to fix this and it's probably related to Windows 7 and it's Vsync problems with this game. What I would suggest is trying to find a way to force into a real fullscreen state (that is what looking for right now) instead of this borderless window ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

For the love of Bhunivelze Square Enix, try to QA your software better before launching it. It will be really annoying having to wait 6 months till you guys fix this (if you fix at all) like FFXIII. It's like you guys didn't even tried to test this in a Win7 machine.

EDIT: FIXED IT!

What was the problem? My monitor uses a 144hz refresh ratting, changing it to 60hz fixed everything.

When I set to Dynamic, Lightning's model seems to sutter/flicker like what you said and I just finished the first few fights in the atrium. It's weird because the rest of the game runs at 60 and may ocassionally drop a few frames because the port isn't THAT optimized. I'm waiting for GeDoSaTo/Durante to help out here if they can

I'm not past the Atrium, might be something related to the area? I dunno...
So I just found the problem after almos 1 whole day of messing around with everything, SweetFX, Cheat Engine etc etc.

This game will stutter if your monitor is set to 144hz. I changed it to 60hz and everything was fixed.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SE.

Anyway, everything is smooth and at 60fps now.

Im using a i7 4770k + GTX770, 8GB Ram, Windows 7.

Fixed seems to turn on Vsync, whereas dynamic runs it without(but still maxes at 60)
