Terrible graphics?

You're still in Luxerion, right? The game does look wonderful, you just need to leave that gloomy city asap. The Wild Lands with all the things in the distance and a dynamic day-night cycle looks pretty awesome.

Texture work might not be the best in some places, but to call it PS2 level is kinda lame. I've never understood this kind of insult to games. Because i've never seen a game on PS2 look like this lol

The textures are crap becuase 1) the engine bottlenecks easily and 2) the ps3 had very little vram. Its also why it has to buffer in assets every 3-5 seconds.

The graphics are not that bad. I have seen a lot worse. Plus it's nice that we are getting all these Final Fantasy games on PC and getting 60 frames. Makes me happy that I really almost do not need a console. FF 12 please! :D

For a PS3 port with largely the same textures for most areas, it actually looks rather amazing. It's also not really the graphics that are important anyway. In a sense I think this game plays a lot like Crisis Core FFVII did on the PSP with the graphics being great, but not amazing.

Comparing this games graphics with PS2 graphics is just pathetic. Sure It's not the best looking game but it certainly looks great for being as open-world as it is. Threads like these really tells us how bluntly spoiled we have become with all these shiny graphics...

A game doesnt look as good as when Its first shown for example and people go f***ing haywire because the precious graphics are downscaled in order for the game to even run smoothly. Bunch of kids that doesn't understand the limitation of game-making. Sorry for going up-topic, but no this game has no way near PS2 graphics.

Call him a kid for comparing the graphics of this game to PS2 graphics, then go about insulting him (directly or indirectly). Makes me wonder who the actual kids are.
Especially since the graphics of this game are lacking even by console standards.
Dont get me wrong, i like this game a lot, so much so that i bought it on steam after playing it on the 360, and its my favorite game in the series, but you wont see me saying the graphics are good when they are obviously cr*p, console and PC included.
