How's the fanservice / sex appeal?

I was thinking about getting this, but would like to know how the fanservice and sex appeal is first. Plenty of skimpy outfits? Boob jiggle? How lewd is the camera? You know, stuff like that. Thanks for any info people can give.

If you find fanservice to be a good thing, there are swimsuits, schoolgirl outfits, bikinis and micro skirts.

If you don't like fanservice, there are pants, long dresses, heavy coats, armor and even a tuxedo.



You make Lightning as covered or exposed as you want. It's up to you.

Long post ahead. It may discourage you or help you. And don't listen to LuchuZ. Unless your girlfriend or boyfriend is willing to cosplay sexier characters like Noel or Sazh, you probably don't need or want her or him.

The fanservice is pretty weak. Body physics are fairly limited compared to say... Street Fighter V.

Snow or Caius do not have any of their Chris Evans level pecs move when they fight. It's rather disappointing. Also, they wear pants that are certain to cause some bulge shifting, but that too is not animated. Thankfully, the anubis creatures have their bulges fully exposed, have high heel demon feet and a suspiciously shaped snake tail.

As for the women, Lightning has a few costumes such as one of the Misty Wizard or the Miqote costume where her weak chest muscles will animate her lumps of unworked chest fat. You may literally need a phone booth in a cemetary and intermittently tapping the arrow key to see these physics. OR turn on a video recording software and run toward the camera, then slow it down. Unless your eyeball can see in 240 FPS and do a slow motion, it may be difficult to tell the difference of her running animation and her chest fat jiggling.

She has a few costumes that are also in a bikini or metal underwear format, some will reveal her flat un-animating butt cheeks, though the top of her crack is revealed with one of these bikinis. All in all, it's very much like staring at a boy's butt. But then again, according to Square-Enix, they would rather blow their art assets in making chest fat jiggle than making chest muscle jiggle or having subjectively sexier butt polygons.

There's two other main female characters who have their legs revealed up to their lower thigh. The manlier of the two does have breast physics and easily the largest breasts in the world, however, you will have a helluva time trying to get the camera around to see her animate. You're better off just looking at her handsome face and listening to her nice Australian accent. The other character does not have any noticeable chest physics due to the costume and shadows blending in together, but she is played by Laura Bailey and therefore, is living fan service in voice form. Her voice is a little too old in Japanese though, so it may be a clash of the senses.

Some NPCs in town have some lower texture cleavage, but I don't believe their chest muscles animate the lumps of fat hanging in front of them. That may not stop you from staring at them briefly and angling the camera to see how much you can see, may be a good way to kill time if you're waiting for an event. There are some mascot characters that are surprisingly higher polygon with better textures with a bra and bikini made of feathers, but they're also wearing feather sleeves. The feathers are also stinky, like an unwashed gold retriever, but otherwise, physically attractive by TV standards.

There's several young-looking girls who are pretty much identical except their eyes and personalities. They look like a longer blue-haired Jodelle Ferland, but not as cool or fun. They are sweet voiced in either language, they're definitely way over 18, but some of them have a weird stinky dark odor coming out of them. Some of them might even want to kill you in your sleep, so be careful with that. I also don't think they're around long enough to pan your camera around them, so also good luck with that.

There are some chibi humanoid creatures that are completely naked and furry. Although it's difficult to tell which are female or male, so the moogles may not work out unless you're into chibi furry fanservice - in which case, you'll still be disappointed, because they don't get a lot of screen time unless you hang out in their garden until the end of days.

Hope is also pretty dreamy in that early teen Bieber kind of way, but with a cooler speaking voice in either language, but nowhere as good a singer even though he's an Asian boy band clone. He doesn't get enough screen time and when he does, he's wearing his child outfit with the shorts instead of his adult hero costume, because his master loves the boy outfit more apparently.

If you're looking for voice acting fan service, switch Lightning to English voice acting, because few people make as sweet a gasp as Ali Hillis. Later, switch back to Japanese just before speaking with Vanille. As much as I love me some Cuylenburg voice, I dislike Vanille in both languages and would rather hate on the Japanese actress that I don't know, than apply my hatred toward the dangerously sweet Cuylenburg.

@Stitch, these elements (except for the smell) are all in the game. Although re-reading this morning, I realize I was dangerously verbose, unfabulously bitter and let too much of my opinion slip through.

@Seagal, tldr of that post and filtering out any potential boy love or furry love fan service elements (those are still in the main post):

• Few costumes have noticeable breast physics without slo-motion
  
• Couple costumes have low cut panty or bikini
  
• Lightning's butt does not animate and is relatively flat
  
• Camera angle starts high vertically and would need obstructions (such as the phone booth in the cemetary in first city) to angle it lower
  
• Fang has the largest breasts in the game world, but few chances to work the camera while she's in motion
  
• Lumina has smaller breasts, but difficult to tell if they're gravitized
  
• The Yeuls have smaller breasts, mild cleavage, are mostly stationary, some have chaos oozing out of them that makes them appear foul
  
• Most non-main or non-major NPCs have lower textures and polygon counts, but may have some cleavage, no physics
  
• Chocolina and others like her wear bras and bikinis made of feathers and appear to have a higher polygon count than other NPCs - chocobo are traditionally smelly creatures

if it is true that fang has the biggest boobs, i guess we can say.... milf for great justice, never knew that the game has chest physics (even a little bit), the developpers paid attention to those small details!
