Bhunivelze's strange relationship with Light ♥♥♥/USA (spoilers)
http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Bhunivelze_(character)

From the wiki

The dialogue in the Japanese and English releases of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII portray Bhunivelze in varying ways, the Japanese dialogue having him make suggestive comments when referring to Lightning becoming the new goddess of death. In the English release, the suggestive elements are removed and he is portrayed in a way more akin to Western deities in fiction and popular culture. An example is found during the pre-battle cutscene: the line "Consider my love an honor" is altered to "Rejoice in the light of God's love", while the line during Bhunivelze's second transformation, "As the goddess, you will grant my deepest desire", is changed to "You have proven yourself, but the real battle is merely beginning".

This is one example of where I agree with the western take and not the japanese one. It seems really strange to me that a huge god creature has developed sexual fantasies for basically an ant. A very deadly ant but one nonetheless. My take, I dunno what the hell the japanese bhunivelze was on.. It don't even make sense to me, how could that even work? But I dunno guess japan has to sexualize everything even gods and humans.

Granting his deepest desire for example, seems pretty pervy, consider my love an honor seems even worse. But the western take, rejoice in gods light, sounds just like what a god would say and is extremely fitting. To me a god would want all people to love him, not just a lone female. And basking in gods light is loving his very pressense without sexuality, and in a way is more sinister than a simple hit on because he is such an egocentric he wants ALL to love him and praise him. I can really see why they changed the western version around to make it more biblical. To me the whole making his relationship with light sexual in nature was kinda silly in a lot of ways. I'm glad they changed it.

But for anyone else reading, when I beat LR's I beat the english dub and had no idea there was any kind of sexual tension at all between bhunivelze and light. This is all based on what the wiki says not my own opinion since I didn't play the japanese dub.

This was quoted from the wiki, suggestive..
There's more if you bother to click on the link, I didn't make the sexual link, FF wiki did, but it dont matter what I say to you since I'm always guilty in your omnipotent pressense.
Pah-lease, this whole sexual fantasies is purely your speculation, not the wiki.

How about you do yourself a favor and take your own advice. Make sure you read the whole page before jumping into such disturbing conclusion.

Bhunivelze feelings towards Lightning is just as far as romantic feelings which's a side effect when Bhunivelze merged with Hope. Nothing about sexual fantasies here.
http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Bhunivelze_(character)#Personality
It is implied that Hope's emotions have bled into Bhunivelze himself, causing him to develop a twisted obsession with Lightning, whom Hope has romantic feelings for. This subplot is removed in the English localization (where Bhunivelze has a different voice actor from Hope), along with any romantic attachment Bhunivelze felt for Lightning. A related subplot is that Bhunivelze is unable to feel emotion, since he has no soul as humans do, but merging with Hope causes him to feel emotion on the brink of death when Lightning defeats him; this subplot is not removed in the localization, but heavily downplayed.

I kinda thought romantic was sexual but not gonna argue with someone who's always right, guess everyones a pervert for thoughts.

Of course, an old couples who've been together for decades definitely stick together solely for sexual intercourse. And someone who do one night stand with a pole dancer is definitely doing it because he has a romantic feelings towards her.

Flawless logic you got there.

Not everyone. It's just you. Don't lump everyone to the same level as you.

Right so basically romance is just holding hands and kisses ok.
I told you that I find the biblical quotes more fitting of an egomaniac god creature, and not creepy ♥♥♥♥ like... Consider my love an honor, or grant my deepest desire, sounds like something a perv would say not an omnipotent beast.

Just my opinion you trollish JACK@$$

You're not the sharpest tool in the shed aren't you?
1. There's a big difference between feelings and lust
2. It's not pervy and creepy. Stop interpreting that everything is sexual when it's not.
3. So I'm a troll for proving you wrong? How about you act like an adult for once and provide me with more proof to back up your opinion.
Repeating the same thing over and over again won't give you different results.

Because an adult always searches peoples names so they can troll them first thing in the morning, want some coffee I got a pot going?

I really dont understand why you dominate forums, troll, post back and forth nonstop, and try your best to get threads locked.

That said here's another article on their relationship.

Without knowing Japanese, it's quite hard to know what "granting deepest desire" exactly means in that context. However, not everything has to be interpreted in a lustful, dirty or perverted way. Since Bhunivelze didn't have emotions before merging with Hope, you can't be sure whether it's deep feelings, lust or obsession that he's experiencing through Hope. When you consider Hope's feelings towards Lightning, though, it could be that Bhuni is experiencing some sort of a crush or infatuation towards Lightning, but he's unable to handle or understand those feelings since he's never had emotions before.

Oh, and for the record, since you mentioned that you find biblical quotes more fitting, the Bible says, among other things, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4) I really wouldn't interpret "take delight" or "give you the desires of your heart" in a sexual manner at all.

A fan made analysis? From tumblr? Seriously? As if wikia isn't a bad enough source since its contents were written by fans and can be edited by everyone.

How about you gave me a legitimate source where SE staffs literally confirm it themselves on an interview or something. Or from novel, manga, anime or movie whatever come out form SE officially which's already confirmed as canon.

Persuassive and egocentric Gods aren't new. Have you heard of Egyptian Gods, Greek Gods, Norse Gods, or Hindu Gods?

Every single one of those mythologies has gods r@ping mortals. BV is presented more like the Abrahamic God in LR, at least in the West; so it wouldn't make sense for BV to have any suggestive quotes - self-righteous and overbearing, yes, but not sexual. In contrast, pagan gods are far more like humans, at least as far as their actions are concerned, so it's fine for them to be perverts.

No... How is this about an erotic fantasy I was saying in the first place it dont make sense.
If anything, its probably a confused deity who picked the wrong soul (hope) to bond with.

Why do you act like a digital fascist by the way? Keep it to yourself? Why? So basically, dont post or think anything cuz I say so?
