ff 13-3 > ff 13-2 > ff 13??

All three are worth playing in order for the story, but a lot of people like 13-2 and LR more than 13 becuase of how linear 13 is.

Some will only say play LR for the sandbox nature of the game which is the only type of game people want nowadays. I would reccomend playing all FF games as they are all different and don't let reviews guide what you play. I avoided 13 for a long time because of the negative people but love the game myself (which I take a lot of hate for).

Personally I prefer 13-2 over 13-3, but they're both good. The first 13 has serious issues, but it is possible to get some enjoyment out of it and people blow a lot of the issues out of proportion. 13-2 fixed all of the issues I had with the first game imo and it's sad to see people associate it with the flaws of the first game. 13-3 is a unique experience quite unlike the rest of the series and it reminds me a bit of Majora's mask. That said, I prefer 13-2 largely because it is more relaxed in it's pacing compared to 13-3. You have a lot of freedom and the timer in 13-3 isn't as bad as it seems but I still felt more pressure playing it than the devs probably intended. 13-2 allowed me to take everything at my own pace.
