Only Viking Invasion launches

I purchased the Medieval Total War Gold Edition and I only seem to have access to the Viking Invasion expansion. How do I get at the standard game?

I understand the confusion, as in the menu title you see the Viking Invasion title but, If you go to the campaign you should see both the Vikings campaign as well as the three Medieval period ones.

The Viking Invasion executable replaces the MTW executable. It is essentially the same game with VI time period and patches added. I think the game would crash when you tried to launch the original exe back when the game came out before Steam.
