Game Crashing on new campaign After 2 seconds from loading in

So iv been playing medieval on windows 10 just fine and every now and again i get the same crash happening when i select a nation such as (Aragon sicily france) I run the game in 1024x768 resolution i disabled autosaving and validated files Before launch and 2 files keep coming us as corrupted/invalid But on reinstalling the files the game still does not want to work With the same error continuing to happen Any help would be appreciated as i love to play this game

try running the game resalution the same as your GPU resalution for your creen. If that does not work, try a lower resalution for the game and your screen gpu resalution. For me I get crashes in batles so I auto run the battle and it does not crash. Oh well.

iv tried that today and unfortunately in my screen res of 1080p the game continues to crash when loading up hard dif on early campaign with the sicilian faction will try a fresh install see if that solves the issue

This happens to me every couple of months. I'll start a new campaign or load one that I was playing and within 30 seconds of loading the game it crashes. I've done the resolution setting changes and I've uninstalled/re-installed the game. It's so annoying.

yes im having the exact same issue currently iv tried every possible fix and nothing works yet the game was working fine less than a week ago so idk wtf is going on

Sometimes whenever there is a steam update it corrects the issue. I'm still trying to figure out the resolution of my computer and matching it to the game, but it still doesn't work. I uninstalled and re-installed it yesterday and it lasts longer than 30 seconds but it still crashes.

well i got it to run for a session but yeah had to put the game in compat mode to windows xp service pack 3 and today when i load it up it crashes again i think maybe the laucnher is conflicting with the game?

This just started to me as well. Seems to have started after the recent update they did. Weird.

upvote the idea of a cause within the recent update. Fixing resolution and turning off autosave was working fine for months prior to the update from a few days ago,

Same here, game was working great now I can no longer play.

So yeah bit of an update yesterday after updating direct x sound drivers and graphics drivers the game now runs smoothly again Not sure if this is any help but yeah it fixed my issue even on the new update
