Unable to move troops?

A few months ago, I remember the controls to this game working just fine. Now, when I try to move any troops in any game mode, they will not move. Clicking on a spot on the actual terrain does nothing. Instead, I have to click on the radar screen if I want them to move at all. I cannot click and drag to adjust their formations either. I'm running on Windows 10, I have compatibility mode for Windows XP on, and I'm running the game in the default 800x600 resolution. I also reinstalled the game and verified the files several times, but the problem persists. The game's basically unplayable in this state, I was wondering if anyone knew of any fixes?

It also happened on my PC too and don't know how to fix it, not sure if it's from windows updated background automatically

also happened to me. left clicking on the ground wont do anything even after selecting the troops. please fix this

Windows updates..... make sure they are all currently triggered. I had this issue a few months back. Manually forcing Win 10 updates fixed it.

Thanks for your response, as of today, 23 July 2022, i have updated my windows 10 OS to the latest but the problem still presists.

I'm having the same problem. I had to get a new laptop last month (Sept 2022). It had Windows 10 and I never had the problem. New laptop has Windows 11. Everything else works except the mouse movement in battle mode. Weird side note - I had an HP before, got a new HP with Windows 11 that crashed with every use, but the game usually worked (after an initial crash), I took it back because it was just unusable obviously. Now I have a Lenovo with Windows 11 and I have the mouse move problem.

I had the same problem. In the Steam settings, just uncheck "enable the steam overlay in the game"

There's two places to uncheck this box. Steam settings and game settings. I unchecked both. Still can't move troops. I can click to attack, but can't move them with the mouse to maneuver formations.
