When you combine only ingredients (without putting an item to be modified) you create new items.
In your case, you combined 3 demon powers creating a new power. It's a process we call gambling because it gives you a new demon power of the same or better rarity.
You can find more info in this extensive guide.
This wasn't the only thing I was stuck on, but I'll look through the link & hopefully find the answers to everything else.
When I add the demon powers to the weapon at the top I can increase the stats each time or one time only? This has to be the right combination of 2 yellow & 1 green every time?
I have yellow cursed sword of the duelest 49-92
dmg inc 22% while equipped: minimal gold drops
+59 armor
How do I add a 3rd stat like gain health on hit or crit dmg?
To make a green demon power yellow I need to put it at the top & add any 3 other yellows to the bottom?
You can increase each stat until you fill the corresponding bar at the left side of the Transmutation UI. (It usually takes 5-10 transmutations). The rarity of the demon powers doesn't matter. The combination defines which stat you're trying to upgrade.
There're 2 ways to add a new property. First, place the base weapon in the top slot, then:
1. Use a Power Stone as ingredients. (Each Power Stone has a specific stat, which will be applied to the weapon.)
2. Use 3 Legendary Demon Powers as ingredients. (Check Codex > Recipes > Weapon Properties to find out which Demon Powers you will need to use for a particular stat.)
No, you put a green Demon Power in the top slot and then add other green Demon Powers as ingredients. When you buff enough the stats the Demon Power will become yellow.
The recipe says 3 divine cards make a divine card. I assume this produces a random devine card? So even adding 3 of the same rarity devine cards could result in a random devine card? So 3 green divines that are the same wont produce a yellow divine of the same card type?
I think this is where I'm getting lost with numbers, divines, wickeds, rarity, type, combinations, my head is all over the place.
2. To create a Wicked card: Select a card which you would want to make Wicked and then place it in the top slot. Add 3 Wicked cards as ingredients. (The rarity of the ingredients does matter. E.g. if you want to create a yellow card, you will need 3 yellow Wicked cards. Then, If the base card is not Wicked/Divine it will receive a random Wicked stat.)
N.B. You need 1000 Gold per transmutation. Many times it's easy to neglect the fact that the only reason why you can't transmute is that you don't have enough money to pay Damian to use his machine.
Can this be done with whites? Such as if I wanted to craft an item up from a single affix to craft the ensure the best affixes for a build, rather than relying on luck with drops? It would obviously be more expensive, but when your patience wears thin...
Ok I'll have to go back & look again as I did try this with various cards. It didn't seem to matter which combination of divine only or wicked cards, I still couldn't transmute. I obviously did something wrong.
I had a yellow executioner card. I put 3 wicked cards & tried 3 divine cards with no change to the top yellow executioner card. Again, I obviously made a mistake somewhere.
Yeah I get what you mean, but I had enough cash as I had sold weapons.
I'm sure once I finally get this I'll be making hundreds of cards, but atm I've found this to be more confusing & frustrating, spending more time worrying about card crafting than playing the game. Last night I ignored the cards, used what I had & now have several purple weapons & cards, dyed my armor, increased stats on my weapon & added a 3rd stat, sold so many weapons & demon powers that I'd collected, then threw the others in my stash. It was hard to stop playing.
The mistake I was making was I had a yellow card which I wanted to be divine, but I was trying to use 3 green divine cards instead of 3 yellow divine cards. I realized this after reading your reply to my question, when I checked again in the game I think I was trying to use different colours.
