How do you kill the vampire? The first boss?
I keep getting drained by those Vampre Totems too quick when 3 are created. I can't move quick enough to destroy them and my potions take too long to regen health.

What is the suggested level for fighting the boss? Any strategies?

Don't forget your demon power(s); the health & overdrive shrines in there.

Are you on normal- or hard-mode? What weapon did you try it with?

Thanks, Nomal mode, I'm only lvl 4, no demon powers, the hammer was the last weapon, the shotguns didn't seem to do enough damage. I can whittle away its health to the last bar but get overwhelmed by the vampire totems.

You should already have atleast 1 demon power from lvl 3. If you actually don't have any look for some champions (like the chessmaster) to get theirs.

Killing Adrian with a shotgun is easier when you get the split-timing (esp. on the totems) right. So maybe try that at the training dummies in the hub first.

Hammer 'jump' gives you life leech so do this 1 when the totems appear then attack normally. Other then for this buff i personally wouldn't recommend hammers for this fight because he's fast and has knockback. Swords for stun seem like the saver option to me.

Have you tried to equip potions in both slots?

And the strategy is to kill totems when they are created, then focus on the boss. Try constant critting him with the sword (3 normal hits to secure 100% crit chance in next hit, then follow with special attack that instantly reloads on crit).

Level 4? That seems awfully low. Maybe level up some more first?

In addition to these advices, use Diamond demon power while dealing with the totems. It gives you temporary hit points to soak the damage. The rapier works best as a primary weapon in this fight. It has 100 base armor piercing, plus its Q attack recharges fast, and inflicts knockback and bleeding (especially important on Hard because it supresses Adrian's regeneration) And remember that jumping and rolling have the constant speed even if you are crippled or otherwise slowed down

Thanks everyone. I finally beat it and am now at level 7, IIRC. I guess I have some more grinding to do before I get to the next area. I used the diamond demon power and it help me a lot.

it's the first boss that actually has decent armor, and yeah..I recall doing very poorly against him with the shotgun myself.

as others suggested, the demon powers ignore armor so will work better, or try a weapon that has decent armor pen.

dimitri pretty much has the best early strategy I think.
