Story or not, in hindsight, we should have included female playable characters.
It's a lesson we have learned. I hope we live to make Victor Vran II and correct this!
Anyway, looking forward to VV2!
nothing says inclusivity to women like just repackaging the same ♥♥♥♥ and adding pink ribbons to it.
There is nothing wrong in games to have only one playable gender. If nothing else, it gives the game more personality.
This is a story about a male monster hunter. That's it.
A game doesn't have to have equal appeal to both genders. There are games that boys like more and then there are games that girls like more and then there are games that are qually likeable by both. There's nothing wrong in that.
If you are a boy or a girl and don't like a game for whatever reason (gender included), then don't play it, but don't demand from it's creators to bend and shape their vision to fit yours. It's their game and it's their desired desing.
There are enough games to always find something you like, you don't have to convert everything to YOUR liking. Not everyone likes what you like so if something looks bad for you, it may look perfect for another. Why would you be above everyone else to demand to be shaped into your liking.
I don't like romance comedies, but I don't go over the internet to whine and demand the directors to change the movie to be more serious or more dramatic. I simply don't watch it and move on to something I enjoy. I don't lose anything and those who enjoy the movie can peacefully watch even if I don't like it.
I don't like house music, but you don't see me whining and demanding from singers and composers to change their music styles because I don't like their music. I simply ignore that style and move on to listen to what I enjoy and everyone else who enjoys house music can enjoy it, even if I don't like that style.
Why can't whining gamers see this? A game is what the creators make it. If you don't like it, don't buy it and ignore it. You won't die if this game doesn't have a female character.
@gymmer: If you girlfriend doesn't like that Victor Vran doesn't include a female character then don't force her to play. Find something she might like. There are plenty of games similar to Victor Vran that have also female characters. Go try Diablo, Torchlight or Path of Exile.
the difference between Victor Vran and those other games is that Victor's story is personal, while those characters are generic.
I mean in the multiplayer Tomb Raider games you can play as characters other than Lara Croft.
For ♥♥♥♥'s sake I wasn't asking for the game to be retooled and turned into something else, you are all going off the rails over NOTHING
