Extraordinary Luck takes all of the common drops that would drop, and changes them to green. It definitely does not stack if you have it on both weapons. I think it also gives improved chance at rares and legendaries, but that's hard to test.
Elder definitely does stack if you have it on two weapons.
My suggestion for a farming weapon, would be luck and extraordinary luck in the offhand. Then, make two elder weapons with good combat stats, but keep them in your back pocket. The only time you need to farm levels is if you're killing mordra the broodmother in order to get gift boxes, and you'll use the Elder weapons there.
2. I don't think you'll like the answer. Every attack in the base game and even motorhead is avoidable. You'll learn, overtime, to recognise the places where you've been instantly killed and you'll learn what to avoid.
Apart from being one shot, you have a few options. Running a Barbarian card has the potential to reset your healing potions every 10 seconds, if you make a build that maxes out its overdrive pretty often. 2 healing potions is fine with a build like that for sustaining.
There's also a legendary guitar called "Solo" that can keep 20% lifesteal up 100% of the time. It's a great offhand weapon since it also has Luck affixed on it.
I tend to run Ambrosia (Or healing potion) & Vampire's blood when I'm under geared. Anytime where you would pop Ambrosia, you also pop Vampire's blood. That gives you burst followed by sustained. It's usually enough to get you through a fight.
3. It depends on your build. Medkits can be really useful for removing dazed conditions and helping you not get combo'd into a 1-shot. But Barkskin is even better at this, although it does not have such a short cooldown or healing, and the armor on it is almost worthless (almost, but not quite)
4. There is not and I'll tell you why. No motorhead specific demon powers drop from any one monster. I went through and killed every champion multiple times in motorhead at one point, seeking to make a sequel to that guide. There are certain places where Zagoravia demon powers will drop, but no motorhead.
5. Probably not, but since gift boxes are random, there's no way to tell. Pumpkin pie sends you to a great place for loot. There's also a lord of exploding pumpkins reaper that you can farm that has a decent chance to drop it.
Here's the breakdown on gift boxes: Rare gift boxes can drop demon powers, cards (1 or 4), and rare/legendary weapons. Legendary gift boxes have a 50% chance to give you a legendary weapon and a 50% chance to give you 4 divine/wicked rare/legendary cards. Gift boxes are best if you're farming for cards.
If you're going for demon powers, you already found the guide to use. If you're going for motorhead specific, then it's best to find an easy champion near an entrance and just farm them for random motorpowers. Champion killing is also the best way to obtain general loot.
As a side note, Uncommon (green) gift boxes can drop uncommon (green) cards, but rare and legendary gift boxes will only drop rare and legendary loot. So if you're farming for a barbarian card, opening uncommon is best. Although I would suggest sticking around in Zagoravia and checking with the Patriarch every 18.5 minutes (the time it takes him to rotate his inventory). That way you can transmute your gift boxes up to rare or legendary.
Sorry for not replying sooner, things got hectic yesterday.
Assuming I can get any type of weapon with extraordinary luck + luck which one would you recommend for it's utility? I was thinking hammer (for the life steal) or tome for the pull and teleport (for escape). I am curious though, which one is your favorite?
I never considered using two Elder weapons, because I was afraid that my dmg would suffer too much, but i 'll give the broodmother a try and see how it goes. I might try a caster build in that case so that my weapons won't matter much. Do you think such builds are viable?
I very much like that answer... at least in theory. It reminds me of the early D3 seasons (before the insane power creep was introduced) where I had to find a balance between not getting hit and staying alive, but also agro-ing a full screen of mobs trying to kill them fast enough to beat the timer.
I don't want to facetank everything, I just want to be able to heal back up after 1-2 random attacks take 30-40% of my health, instead of backing to a safe area and waiting for my cooldowns.
I like the idea of the Barbarian card. How do I use 2 healing potions? The answer might be really simple, but I just can't log into the game right now and try. I have recently found a rabbit's foot so I suppose 1 healing potion + the foot could work great too with the Barbarian card.
I have found "Solo", but I couldn't get used to the wicked solo skill. Sometimes I would slide way out of range of mobs and I felt that the life steal was going to waste. I will give it another go though.
I will try the amborsia and vampire blood combo. I can buy as many as I want from merchants, right?
I hear many people say that armour is worthless, but after seeing the numbers at wiki it doesn't seem that bad. Can you please elaborate more on that?
Interesting. I like it because I feel that I am free to do any content I want in Motorhead without really hurting my rewards. Going to the same place over and over can get boring.
Is the pumpking pie place a good place for legendaries too? If so, then I will go and farm the exploding pumpkins reaper for more pies. Even if legendaries are not the best weapons, I would like to manage to get them all at one point.
Thanks! This is very helpful! I knew the basic principles, but couldn't find any info about the actual numbers.
This is again very helpful! I had no idea that the reset timer for the Patriarch was so low, I just read somewhere that it was around 30 mins. Do you know if other merchants have the same timer? What about GebaN in Zagoravia (for wicked cards)? And what about Lloyd and GebaN in the expansions? I like them because they sell all kinds of cards, even though the sell less at any given time.
One last thing. I have lots of gold that I don't know where to use. Any advice?
I was thinking of buying every divine and wicked card I find for transmutation, but I am not sure if white and green cards are useful for that.
Should I buy yellows and gamble them hoping for legendaries? Should I buy legendaries from GebaN and gamble them to get more legendaries or upgrade the dmg of the legendaries I have or is this a complete waste of gold? If i gamble 3 legendaries am I guarranteed to get a legendary as a result?
Thanks again for all the help! I really appreciate it!
I do what I can. I'm glad that my knowledge of this game can be helpful to someone.
Again, it depends on the build you're running. Tome is one of the best, if not best support weapon in the game. But you need a high single-hit weapon in your main hand to maximize the benefit you get from it.
Hammer is always a good choice for lifesteal and rotating smash and crush into your line up. Shotgun can apply speed while doing a little bit of AoE damage and knockback, which is always nice. If you're running Heartbreaker, then Lightning Gun would be amazing (for spamming Ball Lightning when it's off cooldown), especially if your main hand weapon is Scythe, Hammer, or Mortar Gun.
I'd have to know more about what you're running to give you specifics.
Absolutely. The build that I level up with in my Hardcore Hard Mode from Scratch guide is a caster build. I would suggest not using Cavalier's outfit with it, even though it does give you more of an advantage at the beginning of the fight. It just doesn't sustain the overdrive gain as well as other outfits.
That said, run a zealous weapon with a couple of tower cards and at least 1 obelisk card and you'll be set up for a pretty awesome caster build, no matter what outfit you're using.
Buy two stacks of 99 and place one stack in each potion slot.
Optionally, you can sell an incomplete stack of healing potions to the vendor and then drag and drop them 1 at a time to the slot that you want. This is only really necessary at low levels though, when you can't afford 2 stacks of 99 healing potions.
You can dodge cancel out of Wicked Solo. It does give you Enrage condition (double damage on your next hit) if you let it complete, but if you're prioritizing the maintaining of Lifesteal, then you can dodge cancel immediately and swap back to your main weapon.
Vampire's Blood is pretty cheap and pretty common. I make it a point to buy it when I see it. Ambrosia is more expensive, but if you have the money then you may as well buy it too. They are sold in stack of 10 from merchants. You can check Zagoravia, Motorhead, and Fractured Worlds merchants for them.
This is more or less my opinion. Armor gives you a chance of deflecting any attack that hits you. Deflection is 75%-80% damage reduction. It also has diminshing returns, so stacking it up high gives you less and less.
The fact is, eventually you'll get unlucky and take full hits back to back anyway. This means that health stacking and having a reliably spammable heal is going to be more effective at keeping you alive. If you combine armor with health stacking and reliable healing, then it becomes very effective indeed.
One exception: at high stacks of Epic (30-40+) armor is actually worthless. Full hits will one shot you, so you have to stack health. I've gone into 100 Epic fracture with 800+ armor and was immediately 1-shot by non-champion mobs. However, the game is quite a bit different at 100 Epic, so I wouldn't try balancing your build around that until it's something you're encountering often.
So champion farming is the best way to farm legendaries. It doesn't really matter where you do it, but it "feels" like the Secret Pumpkin Level has a higher chance to drop them there.
Something to note: A well crafted rare weapon (with all three weapon properties maxed out) is going to be better than a maxed out legendary of the same type. There are some exceptions (Fifty Shades of Slay is amazing), but this is the general rule. I wouldn't stress legendary farming, and I would worry more about getting the rare weapons that you want.
I just recently started experimenting with merchant inventories. Acaios has a guide up with his findings: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1533883029
From what I've found, I don't think they all have the same reset timer. The Fracture seems to start at 12 mintues for its restocking instead of 10, but let me explain:
With Casimir the Patriarch, I logged in, bought out his inventory, and checked back every 30 seconds to see when he restocked.
At almost 10 minutes exactly he started replacing his inventory. He started out with 3 cards, then added 1 at a time in 30 second intervals. Common items were replaced first, and then uncommon, rare, and legendary.
He has 20 cards total. 10 minutes to refresh the first three. 8.5 minutes to refresh the next 17. So total time is 18.5 minutes.
More than this, I can only speculate on. It's possible that buying out all of his cards speeds up or slows down the process, but I haven't had the patience lately to test it.
I know for a fact that you can sit there while his inventory restocks. I'm a university student, and it's common for me to do homework and check merchant inventories for cards / potions evey 20 minutes or so.
Firstly, you can't gamble legendary weapons. They won't let you, lol. My advice is to set aside 2-3 copies of each specific legendary and max them out via transmutation. Sell the rest. It sucks, but there's not much you can do with them.
I would avoid gambling your yellows. Like I said above, a well crafted rare weapon is generally better than the legendary weapons. It's best to save your rare weapons for later transmuting down the road.
This is my tier list for gold spending:
Cards from vendors
Transmutes
Potions
I do a LOT of build making, and since the wicked/divine properties are random, I need a lot of cards to get the specific property on the specific card that I want. I buy out all wicked/divine cards when I see them, and I buy out all rare/legendary cards when I see them. Also, buy every Barbarian card that you see.
Potions-wise, I buy out every non-bomb potion from the merchant's inventory. Even the regular healing potions, although sometimes I skip this process since I have a dozens of stacks of them.
For me, Aether Vials > Vampire's Blood > Ambrosia > Liquid Madness > the rest
You're welcome!
Hopefully I didn't miss any of your questions. If I did, then let me know.
It seems that it is helpful to a lot of playes. Keep it up!
What I appreciate the most is that you take the time to type out an answer without expecting anything in return. E.g. you are not making youtube videos or something where you can profit from it financially. I have come to dislike the "subscribe/like if you want me to help you more" mentality. Anyway, I’m rabbling off topic here.
Why do I need a high single-hit weapon? The extra dmg from Frailty applies for a fixed duration, not on just one attack. So even if I could do a burst with several small hits it should work right?
Does frailty’s bonus dmg apply to demon powers too? (I can’t log into the game now, but I’ll go to the dummies and try to test it later)
I can see the Heartbreaker + Ligjhting Gun synergy, but what's the synergy with Scythe/Hammer/Mortar Gun?
Nvm, I read in your hardcore hard mode guide that lightning ball damage scales off of the equiped weapon and Hammer/Scythe/Mortar Gun all have high dmg so I assume that is the synergy between them. Although Scythes (that have a very wide dmg range) and, to a lesser extendt, Mortars (they too have a wide dmg range, but not as wide as scythes) will end up doing less dmg that the lighting gun itself when someone has an unlucky dmg roll.
I swap builds a lot. At the moment I am trying a scythe build with Coldsnap, the Reaper card, the Devil, a Wicked Wildcard and other filler cards that I don't remember atm. Off hand is an elder shotgun of luck that I will most likely swap out as soon as I hit lvl 60 (which will hopefully be tonight).
Nice guide, I ‘ll look at it more thoroughly after work. One quick question though, why hunter’s outfit when there are so many things that can one shot you and the basic idea is to avoid getting hit in the first place?
I was considering cavalier for 2 reasons:
1. My weapon (preferably one with zealous+elder+whatever) would do very low dmg considering all my cards would be focused around overdrive and demon power dmg.
2. I find myself kitting too much in several fights against champions instead of attacking, so having passive overdrive regeneration seemed very appealing for those cases.
I know overdrive gain is slower in scenarios where I am able to weave in attacks or when I am fighting lots of enemies at the same time, but a maxed out Cavaliers with a perfect zealous weapon can cast a Demon power every 5.3 seconds or every 3.6 seconds if using 2 tower cards as well. This is a lot faster than what I can currently do during hard encounters. Of course it could just be a learn to play issue.
Thanks! Seems quite obvious… Is this intentional or a bug?
I will give this a try. The fact that I can’t aim wicked solo is the main reason why I don’t like guitar as much as other weapons. I love the concept, but it just doesn’t feel exactly right while playing.
Thanks for the explanation. I suppose I‘ll just get armour whenever I don’t have to sacrifice something else for it. E.g. by upgrading my outfit or if I am using the Smith card for a 1-shot Hammer build.
What’s the difficulty there? Is it like other maps or harder like CoC or higher Fracture levels? I don’t want to go in there unprepared and waste a pie.
I am aware of that, I just want to have all legendaries for the sake of collection. The way I see it is if I am going for legendary farming then it is certain that I will get lots of rares as well and get good weapons that way.
Thanks a lot for both the link and the inventory reset info!
If I am not mistaken the inverntory of merchants in Zagoravia and Motorhead doesn’t reset when I am playing in Fractures worlds and vice versa, right?
I really envy you for being in University… I really miss those years, working sucks! I ‘m curious, what are you studying?
This is super helpful!! Thanks!
Do you buy common/uncommon divine and wicked cards to upgrade them to rare/legendary or do you keep them for filler cards because they are cheap?
You didn’t miss anything, but I am constantly coming up with new questions. You won’t get rid of me that easily
Doing quick attacks works fine for Frailty, but I was referring to other tome mechanics. I explain it better here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIn87JYUQxA
Nothing increases or decreases the effectiveness of Demon Powers, except the Obelisk destiny card.
Hunter's outfit has the best demon power generation in the game. Adventurer's outfit comes close, but the Hunter's outfit overdrive generation when damaged is calculated separately from normal overdrive generation, whereas Adventurer's outfit is additive. You get more bang for your buck with increases overdrive gain effects.
If I do change outfits, it’s usually to Mikkey's because of the extraordinary healing potential it has for a demon power build.
The other thing to consider is that you WILL take damage. Hunter's outfit will generate overdrive when you most need it. You can use demon powers defensively more reliably with it. Shockwaves can push those creatures away, and Death Machine and pull them away from you, etc.
Cavalier is okay, but you'll never generate demon powers faster than you can use them. With 1 zealous weapon and a tower 2 card, I generate max overdrive on the global cooldown at max level with a offensive demon power based build using Mikkey's outfit. You'll never be able to spam 2 demon powers every second with Cavalier's outfit unless you're using Aether Vials. It does have one advantage: you can start every fight at max overdrive. I just don't think the trade off is worth it, personally.
You were referring to double healing potions here. It's intentional.
Secret Pumpkin Level is easier than CoC, and it is far, far easier than higher fracture levels. You should do fine. You won't waste your pumpkin pie.
Correct.
I'm a late bloomer, education wise, so I work as well (two jobs, one overnight). But I'm a graduate student studying Classical Studies, focusing on ancient languages (Latin & Greek mostly, but I'm branching out to sanskrit and indo-european).
I buy all wicked / divine cards and I do not upgrade them. I save them for transmuting wicked/divine properties on other cards.
I buy all rare cards and every card that can be upgraded to rare so that I can use them for weapon critical chance increase, when I'm making a new weapon for a new build.
I buy all legendary cards or cards that can be upgraded to legendary that are "good." I can't name them off the top of my head, but I avoid things like Phoenix and Vortex. Weapon specific cards are fair game. Hope cards.
I buy every Barbarian card I find.
Sometimes I'm lazy and buy all the cards because I don't want to read and I have way too much money.
I do stream on twitch and make videos on YouTube, but not for any profit. Vran and the other game I play a lot, Gauntlet Slayer Edition, are not the path video riches. I’m just passionate about them and want to share.
Plus, I believe that helping people is it's own reward, and sometimes I learn something new, which is what I'm all about lol
Challenge accepted.
Interesting stuff!
Is it possible to upgrade a rare heartbreaker enough times to max out its duration without ever upgrading the damage (since the heartbreaker dmg is more or less irrelevant) ? or is there some mechanic that forces us to upgrade both in order to make the demon power legendary?
Is it worth (i.e. cost efficient) to upgrade a rare heartbreaker or should I invest my time in farming the champion essence of fire for demon powers until I get a legendary one and then try to max that one?
Good to know. Although I am a bit disappointed, since it seems impossible to stack enough dmg modifiers to make a pure demon power based build comparable (in terms of dps) to weapon based builds.
Good to know. I‘ll give Hunter’s outfit a try. I am reluctant to use adventurer’s because the extra 2000 overdrive makes it harder to get value out of the barbarian card.
I just found one and I am itching to try it, but I won’t be able to play for a few days. Although I am not sure how useful it will be without being upgraded…
The other thing to consider is that you WILL take damage. Hunter's outfit will generate overdrive when you most need it. You can use demon powers defensively more reliably with it. Shockwaves can push those creatures away, and Death Machine and pull them away from you, etc.
You generate that much overdrive versus a large number of enemies though, right?
My biggest issues so far are when all the normal enemies die and only 1-2 champions are left alive. It feels that my overdrive gain is almost paused at that time, but I could try stocking up on Aether Vials (that I completely forgot about) and see if that solves my problems.
Two jobs?! Damn! I only have one and I feel tired all the time… Kudos to you for managing all that at the same time!
I am not a fan of Classical Studies (although I appreciate their value) and I can’t help but wonder why someone would willingly put themselves through the pain of learning ancient Greek.
I’m just kidding… mostly.
Are you able to form sentences in Latin and Greek or only able to understand them? I am just curious, I don’t mean to sound like a smartass.
Are you often using common/uncommon cards in your builds (other than barbarian)? If I am not mistaken you can’t use common/uncommon wicked/divine to add properties onto rares, right?
That’s why I though you would combine 3 wicked / 3 divine of low rarity to end up with rare wicked/divine cards.
This is because you use them as base to add divine/wicked effects or do you use them somewhere else as well?
Making videos or streaming is not to be frowned upon by itself. It can actually very helpful and I encourage it, even though I don’t make any videos myself (and probably never will, because my accent is awful and I doubt people will understand me)
I ‘ll share an experience I had a few years back with a game I used to play (Guild Wars 2) to better show my point of view.
There was someone who posted a guide (which was very helpful) but it left me with a few questions. So I commented and asked those questions. There was no reply for a few weeks and then I get a notification about a reply that was along the lines of “here is the link for a video that answers your questions”. And of course the video had a prologue or epilogue asking for likes/subscribes/general support of his channel.
It just stuck so badly with me, because it would have been very easy to type a few words and answer those questions, but of course there is nothing to gain from that so they instead decided to make a 10min “advanced guide” for that.
It’s cases like that I don’t like, cases where people don’t help because they want to, but because there is something to gain from it.
I wholeheartedly agree that helping people is its own reward and this is why I try to help others whenever and however I can.
On a completely unrelated note, I think I‘ll go and check Gauntlet Slayer Edition in the next few days. It seems interesting at first glance.
You read through all of it? What perseverance!
Heartbreaker damage is small, but not inconsequential. Drop one into a bunch of slow moving skeletons and they will all die (especially if you're wearing an obelisk card or two).
But to answer your question... The problem with Heartbreaker is that you have to transmute more Heartbreakers of the same rarity onto it in order to increase the duration. Damage on it is increased by transmuting any other Demon Power of the same type of rarity.
So it doesn't really matter. You're stuck farming Heartbreakers or the Demon Power increasing power stones anyway. Most likely a Legendary version of Heartbreaker will drop for you in that process.
Note: The Obelisk destiny card also increases Heartbreaker's duration.
I have the opposite problem in my demon power builds. If anything, the extra 2000 overdrive is wasted because my overdrive fills faster than two demon powers can come off cooldown. So I most often end up not using the extra.
I generate a lot of overdrive all the time, regardless of the number of enemies. If I have 2-3+ enemies, then there's enough overdrive to spare. However, I was referring to a maxed out level 60 build when I was talking about spending overdrive every global cooldown. It's slower, but not too much slower, if you are using an incomplete or lower level build. You can get around that by using more tower cards.
Aether Vials are great for starting out fights, or getting a quick boost, but you could also just swap back and forth between Cavalier's Outfit and whatever your main outfit is. It's a bit more micro management, but it's a useful mundane skill to master. You'll see me do that in some of my videos in between fights.
You would be mistaken.
One of two things needs to happen. Either we need to game together, or I need to make another video to show off my version of a completed Level 60 Demon Power build.
In terms of AoE, a good Demon Power build is second only to Pistol Vigilante, but it's better at surviving, since it has the most effective healing of any build in the game (80% health every few seconds). Pistol Vigilante does more overhealing than it does actual healing.
I regularly go to rounds 15-20 in Bottomless Pit while using it. With a few modifications for defense, I've made it high as the low 30s. It's still not as effective as Ember (I've gone to 40+ in Pit using Ember), since Ember's damage is the only thing that can outpace 100 stacks of Epic. However, a good demon power build will out kill an Ember build when played properly, since it spreads it's damage better.
I have more builds than I can even keep track of. Most of my really good ones don't have any besides Barbarian or Wildcard (3), but sometimes I'll use a Death (2) or Fool (wicked/divine), just depending on how many slots and/or destiny points I have available.
You have to use the same rarity to place a NEW wicked or divine property on a card that doesn't have one, but you can increase the effectiveness of a wicked or divine effect that is already on a card by using divine or wicked cards of ANY rarity. As long as a card has a wicked/divine effect then it has use in the form of transmuting and maxing out other effects on other cards.
Yes to both. I buy them because I will probably use them in future builds, but they also might go into increasing an outfit on a new character or increasing crit chance on a new weapon, etc.
If you ever see me stream a New Game+, you'll understand that I tend to load up those characters with everything they need for the rest of their life (60+) and then some, lol. Sometimes it's power stones, other times it's a bunch of weapons, cards, etc (for transmuting).
It's a perfectly valid question :) I can both translate (latin/greek to english) and compose (english to latin/greek). As far as I know, being able to compose with any reliable accuracy in latin or ancient greek is rare. I'm the only one in my program that seems to have any interest in it. There's a strong emphasis on reading, since it's a dead langauge. I've had to purposefully seek out ways to learn composition.
What is trash to one person is treasure for another.
It's similar to Vran in that it's a hack-n-slash game and that it's not for everyone. It's different from Vran in that it's more of a gameplay focused game, as opposed to being a cerebral build focused game.
For me, Gauntlet is about mastering what is already there. Vran has that component too, but there's an added layer of complexity in it's builds that makes it more fun to tinker. Gauntlet is far more simple than Vran, but more difficult to master, gameplay wise, and better balanced for you to pursue that mastery.
Vran fulfills the tinkerer/puzzler/experimenter part of me. Gauntlet fulfills.... well something else, lol. I've never been able to fully define what that is, and I've never been able to quit.
Not too long ago, he was in your shoes, asking me questions and looking for answers here in the steam forums. He eventually got so good that he managed to 100% the game and also teach me a thing or two that I didn't know.
Bloonis is awesome. Although he should come play Vran more often, lol.
Oh, had that backwards… back to farming Motorhead then
Then I suppose either my playstyle sucks or hopefully I just need to upgrade my gear and “fix” my wicked/divine properties to do more damage and fill my overdrive faster. I will try using more tower cards and see how that goes.
I often swap to Cavaliers when I am doing dedicated farming or when I enter an area and I have a long way to run (or Blink). Something useful I recently discovered is that Blink has a seemingly infinite range, but you can only take advantage of that when you use a controller. Sometimes, when the path is clear, I am able to blink so far that it takes only a few seconds to go where I want.
I will try swapping a potion to Aether Vial if I need the overdrive mid-fight. I ‘m not sure how convenient this will be due to the potion cooldown, but it’s worth a shot.
Maybe we can game together during the weekend (when I will probably have more free time and a more flexible schedule) and you can show me. Around what time would it be more convenient for you?
Sounds cool. Considering I have gone only up to round 4, I am eager to learn what options there are and try to adjust them to my current level.
I ‘ll keep that in mind and try to keep the ones with good divine/wicked properties then.
When trying to max the wicked/divine effect of a card does the rarity of the cards used as ingredient affect the result? Does the “value” of the wicked/divine property of the ingredients affect it? E.g. is there any difference if I use cards that give 2% of max overdrive on overkill or cards that give 3.5% of max overdrive?
(This is somewhat of a “note to self”. I can probably test it myself, but I am at work now and I ‘m afraid I’ll forget by the time I get home)
What do you mean by New Game+? Do you mean alts? I have only encountered that term in TL2 and afaik there isn’t a mechanic similar to that in VV.
How fast can you reach max level in New Game+?
Interesting! It’s good to have skills that are rare, you never know where they might come in handy. It’s not out of the question to have to reconstruct a worn out text or something…
I heard somewhere that ancient greeks used to pronounce “ω” as a long “o”, while “o” was pronounced as a sorter “o”. Do you have any idea if that is true? Is there something similar going on with “ε” or “η” etc?
That is true.
Maybe the fact that I had to study ancient greek at school and I had, let’s say, “unique” teachers affected my view on that matter.
I suppose I will give Gauntlet a try when the time comes that I want a break from VV. Due to my limited available playtime I am looking for games that are easy to pick up, but can also hold my interest for long. The era when I could play games that require constant time investment and had a progression system tailored for those who can play for 4+ hours per day are long over.
Would you be interested in having a builder for Victor Vran when theory crafting builds? Something similar to Path of Building for PoE, if you are familiar with it.
That’s great! And in my opinion this is the best reward one can get when helping/teaching others. Knowing that your advice was helpful and was put to good use gives a unique feeling of satisfaction that is hard to get.
New Game+ for this game means you start a new character and you use gear from your stash. Typically denoted as NG+ for speedruns. I also do new characters without access to the stash as well. So those are just NG.
‘ω’ and ‘ο’ are pronounced the same. Ancient Greek was pitch and length oriented instead of stress oriented. So omegas were held twice as long as omicrons, and they both sounded like “oh.” Accentuation over the letters determines the pitch.
That said, it’s typically taught with stress accents, in America at least, just because it’s easier to hear the difference.
