I just upgrade base (fortress) guns and player's weapons (deathray, mines and blocks) and complete it easily then.

How did you deal with the Reanimators? I can get up that far easily, but with three of them there I don't see how your base's weapons can actually kill one of them through the regen. Maybe with upgraded towers, but you get next to no money on this level and if you switched your gems over to the base they're probably not going to be much help with how few spaces there are.

This game needs that balance patch that was mentioned a while ago pretty badly, I hope it's still being worked on. I really liked it early on, but after the free content it's a lot more frustrating.

It's in case other people need info on beating level 23, which I think is ridiculous like the robot boss that you had to gun down 3 times. This game has a lot to do with grinding or buying. I think they purposely made it ridiculously hard or near impossible to force your hand to purchase. I bought 6 bucks worth ( sale 950~ gems) and even then I'm finding myself very lacking gems and having to reposition my skills to find which one works. Anyhow, I just happen on this game so I'm playing it now, almost two years after you and on the android.

How to beat LVL 23:
Unless you have a TON of gems, reset everything. EVERYTHING.
You want to the base's max machine guns except the one hit kill and max out the Energy Doom
Then max out blocks in Weapons.
Then for towers, max out Energy tower but only get the Soul Reaper ultimate tower (the top one).
Now go upgrade the soul reaper tower. Upgrade all except the Long Flight upgrade (the last at the bottom row). Like I said, if you got more gems, use it however u feel, put some in the death ray, it'll help you kill those extremely pesky reanimators (which I think is total bull minion since they're throwing it in every game and causing me real big problems). So you want to save your death rays for only the reanimators and get as many to bunch around them as possible so you can take as many out as possible...that and the things that explode.

So you start the level and you put one energy tower near your base. As soon as you get coins build miners at top. You can build two. Max them out whenever u have the coins, this lvl has a lot of coins popping up. Build a block right outside your base as close as possible. Also tip on blocks is before one dies, build a new one so the older one can recover. More money, faster way to backup your castle. So you want the blocks and your castle to deal with the minions. Keep upgrading that energy tower to the very end; to tier 2 Soul Reaper. Then proceed to make more at the other spots afterwards as you see fit. Whatever you think your block can handle, let them handle it. The castle will do a good job shooting the enemies and so will your soul reaper. Save the death ray whenever you can and only use it when you have too many enemies and it makes you nervous. Remember, try to prolong the fight as well. Like if you have one enemy, instead of killing him fast, hold off on firepower and let him take his time getting at the blocks, the blocks will recover health. Whatever it takes to prolong the fight so you can get more coins. Just keep getting soulreapers and you'll soon.

It'll still be about luck a bit, I mean, I've had games where I get a tiny amount of coins and another game where I get a ton and so are able to upgrade fast which makes a HUGE difference. Game lacks balance there. The reanimators are just bulls.t you just gotta wish you can take them out. They're literally the only thing screwing me up. GL
