Institution Growth

The institution is now 100% present in my country. However, its internal presence is currently at 4%, and I cannot pay for it until it reaches 20%. What do I need to do to increase the internal presence from 4% to 20%?

The percentage is the percentage of locations that have 100% of the institution. With just 4% you probably just have it in a single location, like in your capital. So you need to spread it around your country until 20% of your locations has the institution at 100%. And doing this also decreases the embracing cost, with 0 cost if all your locations have the institution at 100%.

But while we are at it, I would hijack this for a quick question:
You guys also have the issue in your games that the institution spread is just waaaaay too high/fast overall? Most of european nations in my game get every Institution unlocked(not just spread - i mean unlocked) in the first ~10y years after reformation age hits.

Same/different experiences?

As an asian nation who needs to wait 150 years to get the institution I have no idea why you complain about getting it too quickly. If it would already take 50 years to just spread in europe, wouldn't that mean it takes like 500 to get to Asia?

I understand that its a different thing when playing in asia or as a native.
But its still a bit weird/nonebalanced in europe I feel like.

Sure, there are many factors like literacy etc., but if, lets say artillery institution pops up in konstantinopel, its kinda weird taht bohemia or france getting it first - while also insta unlocking reformation and the worldtrade thing. I understand that every nation has a development towards some institutions before it popping up. But as soon as it does, it only takes them 5-10y to implement every institution. Which is kinda nuts, cause I cant handle that because of my stabcosts at all, even if I am way over 20% nationwide institutionspread.(Im aware of Humanist buff etc., but still)

Can you influence this spread in your country? And how?

--> Instition showed up in my country, so no trade with origin country as it is my own country ;-)

Kind of. The market center fo a market gets it if it gets exports or imports from places that already have the institution. And if the market center has it it spreads in the entire market. And later there is also a cabinet action where you can spread it in a province. And there are a few other ways, like if it already exists in an adjacent friendly location or if the location could have become the institution origin.

I personally still feel that it should randomly appear in one of the most correct nations in the world.

They need to remove the Europe restriction on where it can spawn.
Europe with its high development should still end up likely getting it most of the time, but if they are slipping, then it is what it is.
