ironman crashes

i dont know if it's my pc (it could be) but i cant phisically play ironman, it's a constant crash every tot months, while i can play smootly 300 years with the entire eastern roman empire without iron man

i tryed multiple nations but if i play with ironman it will crash 100%, i can get it that my pc is trash but if i can play 300 years in a normal game why i cant play ironman and therefore cant get any achievement

Someone posted something similar and shared their save and I tested it and it crashed for me too on a specific date. I think something is borked with Ironman saves.

i just wish they will put achievements for non ironman mode, in the end the difference is that i have to manually copy the save if i want a back up date.

Can you post the meta.yml from the crash? Maybe your system runs out of virtual memory

Same problem here with the marry_noble.txt92 my game is Castile around 1455 crash in july-august
"Edit" I tried playing version 1.0.4 and the save went past the crashing date and didn't crashed, I could reach the next year, now I'll try to go back to updated version and see if the game crashes or if passing that date has solved the problem for now

The mary_noble message is a bug which everybody gets. It doesn't lead to any crashes. Most likely the crash is caused by something else.

Well I just look what the file says and the last thing that appears are that repeated error, well for me looks like going back to 1.0.4 to move past the date and then update to actual version has solved the problem, fingers crossed

It looks like you all have a problem which is different from the OP who said that it crashes "every tot months".

Crashes on the same date are most likely a game bug which would also have crashed a non-ironman game and it would also have crashed in previous versions, but you didn't have the bad luck to run into the specific circumstances which lead to a crash. If you can, you can send a crash report to paradox and maybe post your save in the bugreports forum and maybe put a link to the bugreport in the crash reporter message so that the developers can get the save.

There is a small chance that the crash is caused by something on your system or that it can be circumvented. The first step would be to make sure that your disk has several GB free space and that the Documents folder also has several hundred MB free(it could be on a cloud storage like OneDrive which has its own limit). And have a look at the SwapSizeAvailable in the meta.yml from the crash. If that value is below maybe 1000, it could be that the crash happens, because the system runs out of virtual memory. To avoid that, make sure that the setting for the pagefile is either automatic(and there is plenty of disk space so that it can grow) or that it is set to a big enough value. Restarting windows and closing background programs can also help, especially if some background program had a memory leak which caused it to consume more and more (virtual) memory over time. Please note that this crash can happen even if there is plenty of RAM available, because some programs commit/reserve virtual memory without ever using it as normal RAM.
In some cases it also helps to (temporarily) set the graphics preset to very low and to set the flat map to always in the map settings.

Then it is definitely not caused by the marry_noble error, because that file is the same in 1.0.4, 1.0.5 and 1.0.6
