Construction Icons? Bug or feature?

For some reason I can see the construction of every building in every other nation. I can't find a way to hide the icons. Surely they aren't supposed to all be visible? I've changed through every map mode but can't find a way!

I see it too but only on allied countries and vassals. I guess it is feature not bug?

It seems to be a default thing and it only occurred once I had started my own construction. Turns out you can turn it off amongst a ton of other icons using the tiny icon on the bottom left centre of the screen. (Not the magnifying glass on the map-modes tab, behind it). The reason I couldn't see it was because the map-modes tab overlaps/covers it when you move your mouse down towards the centre,
