Conversion and Assimilation Aren't Finishing
Conversion and assimilation just suddenly stopped working after almost finished, even though I'm using cheat to modify the pop conversion speed and pop assimilation speed to 10000%.

What caused this? It's been like this since the release of the game.

The usual answer when a particular area is not assimilating no matter what is TRIBESMEN. You have to do various shenanigans to get rid of them, such as using the "settle tribesmen" cabinet action... It's all very painful if you have lots of them.

Can I just enact "Closed Borders" policy?
I often sometimes find that it won't start properly as well, despite saying 100 or so being converted each month. I think sometimes birth and migration might outweigh the effect. Say there's 20 people left to convert, then a couple new of the same culture or religion get born, and a bunch get moved around as well, and now there's still some to manage.
That won't help if you already have tribesmen in your territory... and there's tons of them around the map... so good luck conquering territory and not getting them. Paradox really messed up when it made it so tribesmen do not assimilate and you HAVE TO turn them to peasants first...

You know you can use "settle tribesmen" and "assimilation" at the same time on the same province?
Settling is soooooo slow. Better approach is expell and spread them around your whole country and then they will slowly settle on their own. Or else expell and cause migration to eg. your capital.

Yes of course... it's unfortunate cabinet slots don't grow on trees though hehehe... that and I hate the added micromanagement tbh. I am currently doing a WC run and frankly am tempted to make a "more cabinet members mod based on how many regions you own"... say like adding 1 more cabinet slot per area owned once integrated... although that might be excessive. Still think very large empires need more slots though... try playing as China and expanding... you'll feel the pain.

Yeah, it can be a problem when doing a wc, considering that the game was made with the intention that you shouldnt do a wc in the first place. Of course it can be done, but there arent that many mechanics to support it. Modding is likely your best choice.
