cpu ryzen 7 5700g High heat

I’ve played this game for 330 hours. I just tried to jump in to check out the new patch, but I couldn’t even get the game to launch. I ran some hardware diagnostic software and discovered that my CPU temperature was spiking. I should mention that I’m using a standard air cooler—in a country as scorching hot as Thailand.

It's going to spike. This is a high CPU impact kind of game.

Look up what the max is. If you're still under that you're fine....
5700g is CPU with integrated graphics. If the same component has to manage both CPU and GPU parts, it can get hot. I recommend installing bigger, more capable CPU cooler, these cost about 30 EUR only. But of course you need to install it yourself, and there needs to be enough room in the case

1.4 is able to use up more cores from CPU. While you can turn down video settings (2D map helps), you can not really do the same for CPU as all the calculations still need to be processed.
In that case, I guess I’ll be stuck playing this game on patch 1.3.11 forever—if updating it is going to put this much extra load on my CPU.

You should fix your cooling problem, it will keep happening in other games and applications. Stress test your cpu with prime95 your computer should be able to run at 100% without overheating.

If you overheat you can try undervolting the cpu or upgrade your cpu cooler or get a better pc case with good airflow. Cleaning the fans and cooler can also help if they are full of dust.

I’m just sticking with patch 1.3.11—I’ve already put 330 hours into it—because patch 1.4 is a mess; it causes a CPU bottleneck.
If an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G—which is comparable to an Intel Core i7-11700K—prevents me from playing patch 1.4.6, then I simply won’t play it; my PC specs already exceed the game’s minimum requirements. It is unacceptable that the developers are forcing players to troubleshoot their own hardware. I have no intention of playing a game that isn’t stable. In my view, this reflects a failure on the part of the developers, who clearly don’t value players with mid-range systems. I shouldn’t have to upgrade my PC beyond the game’s recommended specifications just for the sake of a single title.

I’ve played this game for 330 hours on my current CPU, and it’s really not that bad.
Cores / Threads: 8 cores / 16 threads
Yet, it’s no longer enough to even launch the game as of patch 1.4.6—which is just absurd.

If the developers don’t fix this, I won’t be buying any future DLC or games from this ridiculous studio—a company that releases a game where even players with the minimum system requirements can’t even get it to launch.
Another option would be to buy a new motherboard and upgrade to a more powerful CPU—though that certainly won’t be happening anytime soon. After all, the issue only occurs with one specific game; other games and patches run fine, as most of them tend to be more GPU-intensive.

This is what happens when the devs optimize their games, it is able to use more of the cpu. For everyone that has enough cooling it is a good thing, the game runs much better in 1.4.

Your 5700g performs like a much weaker cpu, because it lacks enough cooling, it is much slower than some other guys 5700g or 11700k. The PC shutting off is the worst case scenario, long before that the cpu will throttle itself and reduce speed to cool down, this almost certainly happened in 1.3 you just didn't notice.

Buying a better cpu will make it even worse. Better cpus need even more cooling. The problem would be even worse until you fix your cooling issue.
Initial troubleshooting successfully performed:

Adjusted the power supply.

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options

- High performance
