State of the game?
Hi, EU IV player still not ready to hop on EUV, how is the state of the game? If not good, when do you think it will be worth to buy?

8 or 9 more years to go.
"Good" is such a strong word. It is better compared to launch. But it also depends on what you find interesting and which gamestyle you expect. I do not expect EU5 to be enjoyable as ANY country within full 500 years of timeline for several years. Some of the countries are already ok if you only play like 250-300 years.
its enjoyable but still, of course, not at the depth of eu4.

if you read reddit and other online discussions you'll think the game is a garbage heap but that is not the case. it is still far from great and has many changes that need to be made but it is fun if you like that simulation type of game play.

maybe not worth it at the full price but on a 20% off sale or something it's worth it
It's a lot more enjoyable in the 1.4 beta. Not perfect but worth sinking some hours into,

I had more fun with 1.3. I played like 6-7 playthroughs with 1.3 and with 1.4 I am tired after my 2nd one. Something is wrong with pacing. Wars take too much time and they block other interactions. In later phases I am constantly in war.
It's OK, if you don't mind being annoyed a lot.
I have not played in a few months myself, but judging by the forums, the most recent version (the 1.4 beta) has people split. Some love it, some hate it, some in between. So expect to get a mixed response.
at least 8 years, assuming they don't just give up on it by then
not really sure how they will fix it, the game is too slow and there are way way way too many provinces...kinda makes even the early game feel like work
Its better than people claim and worse than it should.

Didn't they make some aspects of the game to be automaticed?

I just hope it does have better international system than EU4, as much as I love that game, bloobing can be stupid, like, all the world should hate your guts if you expand everywhere even if you dont have agressive expansion, you get where im going?
Sadly, after trying Vicky 3, I feel Paradox doesnt care about that, you can conquer all south america as Spain or France and UK or USA most of the time dont give a ♥♥♥♥. Not something that would have happened EVER.
