Screen resolution
any chance you can add a screen resolution option because i run 3 screens 5760x1080 and its forcing the game to run at that pretty much not playable for me

I will see if i can get it into window mode

Edit: im running Nvidia surround

hi Fulysic,
yes, there should be a good chance.
but needs a bit of time.

just until you can send me an email to support@3dbe.dahlenburg.org and i send you a file with a fixed resolution (and window mode)

Yes, very good update. I really like the new look and redesigned levels. I personally enjoy some of the difficulty being the driving (not just the building) like the second tutorial level is an excellent example.

My only other suggestion right now would be the camera when you are driving. Maybe there is a way to do it already but haven't found it. It seems like it might be easier to attach the camera to the truck by default and moving the mouse orbits the camera without having to press a mouse button - unless maybe that makes the later levels harder to drive?

I have a thing about controls in a game. They should be as simple as possible. Minecraft is the perfect example of a brilliantly designed game - it takes what would otherwise be a complex game mechanic (building) and simplifies the controls where a 5-year-old can play the game, but still has the complexity in gameplay, creativity and amount of content to build anything you can imagine. You get to play the game in such a natural manner that you don't even think about controls but instead think about what you want to build.

It's a shame there are so many games out on steam now that this one is getting overlooked. It's a great engineering and driving game. I'm very glad I have it in my library.

thx!
you are right! there should be a camera following the truck. Probably in the next update.

if you see minecraft as a 3d graphics programm its very easy to learn, really impressive. But also very limited. You have to accept the lego look and the workflow is bad on bigger buildings.
If you want more its getting more complicated.

3dbe is not so far from that, as it has a perspective only view as well. And if you want than you can see the grid units as blocks :)

and yes its easily overlooked on steam. in fact i cant find it without using the search function.

thank you for your suggestion.
I added a camera that is following the truck and controlable by the mouse and the cursorkeys.
Its not the default camera, you have to press a button to set it active.
The thematic priority of this game is the construction. It should be possible to easily switch between editor and testmode while construction. An automatically changed camerasetting would be annoying. And the truck following camera only makes sense in testmode.
But i think its a nice new option anyway.
