Without PvP we also don't have to worry so much about hackers and cheaters.
We also have a better and more civil forum and chats.
Insted of competing we can cooperate and build a better universe :D
I have also seen that in space exploration trade games like this if you have forced PvP then you will have a group of players that are pure PvP dedicated and they do nothing but PvP.
They dedicate 100% of their game time to get bigger gunz. This would have been ok but 90% don't use those guns on other PvP players but only to grief and wreak havoc on easy target just because...
Dedicated PvP areas could be fun and a nice break from the rest of the game when you are waiting for a blueprint or construct to be ready.
:)
i know some folks will like to dog fight anywhere thats y. i actually prefer the safe travel. finding the planets, thats legit.
The real deal is the 'Ascent Black Sky' thread in AscentExtras forum .. not this Steam puffery.
Frankly, until the current dev sells the game, nothing (except players) of consequence happens.
Its a real shame, since properly designed, this game would be very popular and profitable.
