Best Class setup for Kaz?

I just recently got Kaz to join my team. But I don't know what exactly he is best at doing. Earlier in a dungeon I found a weapon for him that increased the power of his Buff skills. So should I go with Guardian+Healer or make him a mixed attacker with Slayer+Elemantalist?

He reminds me of Magus from Chrono Trigger so I thought he would be good at casting spells.

I have him doing Slayer and Elementalist. If you take a look at his stats when he joins the party he is quite balanced between the both. If you play enough and choose his stats to boost STR and MAG accordingly, he will probably be your second best magic user behind Mari and second best Melee behind D.

Cool. I thought he'd be garbage for elementalist since he had no MP gains on that path (level 1 elementalist somehow gves him NONE).

Yeah his MP gain is quite low but if you're willing to grind a bit to make sure you have extra MP potions on you then it's not such a bad idea.

I managed to mitigate his low MP gains by using Goggles and the MP Boost vials. He is now really sick and doing huge damage.

Personally I made Kaz into a Guardian/Trickster and just forced down Buffs/Debuffs on my party. Eventually I got the weapon Hurricane so he's the fastest party member now as well as getting Slayer in post game to spam Barriage with D & Lina.

Feel free to take a look at him in the screen, but personally I prefer each character sticking to one offensive stat (D, Lina & Kaz Attack; Mari Magic). Makes for a much higher damage output overall. Just keep in mind his stats are manipulated to the nail. Honestly the best way to use Kaz is just pure Attack & HP Slayer/X Class since he's naturally the highest in those.

Yes. I found Slayer is the best to main for Kaz. He can do lots of good AOE when paired with Elementalist. I just wanted to off-class that so my Healer could focus on recovery and support more.
