Game crash on 21:9 monitor (2560x1080)

After starting the game error occurs.

Did anyone else had the same problem?

Hey Maersto, sorry to hear you're having problems getting the game working. Let me see if I can help.

1. Does the game actually crash to desktop or just freeze?

2. If it crashes to desktop, there should be an error file in one of the subfolders here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Big Pharma\...

The folder will have some sort of generated name. The file I'm looking for is error.log, if you can find it, can you post it here?

3. Could you also post your output_lot.txt which will be here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Big Pharma

This will help me determine the problem.

Hello Maersto, the crash is described by the following line:

igdumd32.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module igdumd32.dll at 0023:0723dd50.

This is actually caused by a bug in the drivers for your Intel graphics card.

I have come across this bug once before. That person had an external monitor connected to their laptop on extended desktop mode and the issue resolved itself when he switched the display to *solely* the monitor.

Another thing you can try is updating your graphics card driver to see if Intel have fixed the bug in a later driver. Looking at the logs I can see that your Intel Graphics Card is a Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000. You can download a new driver for this card here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/graphics-for-3rd-generation-intel-processors/intel-hd-graphics-4000.html

You will need to pick the right one for your operating system.

Updating card driver helped

The Intel card is working only on igle and desktop mode for me, so I did not pay any attention to it.

Woohoo!

I also should mention that if you have a hybrid graphics set-up IE Intel integrated graphics card PLUS a dedicated card e.g. Nvidia 760M, then you might get better performance if you get the game to run on the dedicated card. Not sure if this applies to you but thought I'd mention it. The game might run just fine on the Intel. :)

Note: I've tried both with and without a Page File and in both cases the same exact error was caused. My system info:
Windows 7 x64, CPU: i7 2011v3, GPU 2x Nvidia 980ti, Monitor: 2,560x1,600@60hz, Ram: 32GB (29GB free)

Thank you for your quick reply sir!
After much configuring I am happy to say I resolved the issue. This is the same exact issue I have incountered on other Unity games (mainly KSP), but it ends up that an EVGA Software Utility was causing the crashes in both cases.
