Ionizer removes catalyst
Hello-
I discovered today that ionizers sometimes remove catalysts. I saw it happening in one of my assembly lines. I perused the discussion threads, and I found a thread in which this is discussed. The thread even gave a list of four side effects which are removed at certain concentrations by ionizers or agglomerators (thanks!).

I felt like I was "supposed" to already know this. Did I miss something? Is this documented anywhere other than a discussion thread (like a wiki or tutorial)?

The wiki runs through it ( https://bigpharma.gamepedia.com/ ), and I'm pretty sure - borderline certain - that it was also in one of the tutorials.

That said, it's a common mistake to accidentally remove a catalyst early as you're adjusting concentrations.

When you mouse over any effect that's removable, it'll show the concentration and machine needed to remove it. Run it through the listed machine when it's at the listed concentration and poof, it's gone.

If it's a non-removable side effect, it'll say so rather than listing a concentration and machine. This does not, however, mean that it's actually not removable. If you have the DLC, you can use a Booster Mixer to replace the side effect with a booster. Even if it's not a useful one for the product, it's still a LOT better than having a side effect. :)
