Attempt Takeover

has anyone been sucsessful taking over another company? what are the requirment in doning this in game? does your company have to be a higher rank as the other one? my company is and my company also has much more money than the one iam trying to take over but I always fail at takeovers

The other company has to be *very* near to bankruptcy. You've got a very small window of time between when a company hits that point and when it actually does go bankrupt and is removed from the game.

I've never done a takeover successfully either. What I do is resurrect a company via the editor, give it very low money, and then take it over. Personally I don't view that as cheating because IMO anyone should be able to just form a child company from scratch if they want to - there shouldn't be a need to buy someone else out.

Yeah I've done it before with taking over the smaller companies while playing as Alpha-1
