What tool/weapon to use when harvesting animals?
So you chase down a deer or a sheep, maybe a wolf and kill it. Now you have a corpse in front of you that you have to skin. What tool or weapon should you use? Is there any difference in what material and amount you gain by using different types of tools and weapons?

driftwood has high attack speed so it would "skin" faster

I always use small dagger for the speed. A chicken is gone in a few sec

As Krilehn said, steel dagger seems pretty good for the job with its speed.

Dagger for speed but also know that the less damage a weapon has the more hits you will be able to make on the carcass thus get more things. Try with a training wood sword that does 1 damage and see what i am talking about.

Yes, you are on to something here. I noticed a big difference when using a club compared to a bone dagger. But sometimes I end up hitting the same carcass over and over again with a dagger , just to end up gaining more bones or flax. So the whole system got me kinda confused, if I wanted to get more bone would it not be logical to use a blunt weapon. If you want more meat or skin, a sharp/slashing weapon. But what do you do if you want to get more blood?

i think the collection of items is all random, but one thing is for sure, the carcass haves an HP, when the hp runs out the carcass is gone.
