[FPS Guide] Get the max performance out of Reign of Kings

First of all, do not expect an insane FPS boost, its still a unity game afterall.
This guide will atleast help you get a bit more out of Unity to make the game more enjoyable.

Steam launch options

-winxp -nolog -force-d3d9 -screen-quality Fastest

-winxp (Launch the game in Windows XP mode, apparently it helps some people but it doesn't increase fps at all for me)
-nolog (Do not produce an output log. Normally output_log.txt)
-force-d3d9 (Forces the Unity engine to use DirectX 9, this disables some graphical things higher DirectX version add wich improves fps)
-screen-quality Fastest (Sets Unity's graphic settings to the lowest, not sure if this does anything but i might aswell include it)

Overclocking and other

Some say overclocking is risky, do this at your own risk!

I'd recommend to figure out and get familiar with these programs your self since the settings in these programs can be different for every computer.

Additional options

Turn down all your game settings (I assume you already done this since you're here).
Turn down settings in your NVIDIA or AMD control panel.
Optimize your Windows power options.
Set Reign of Kings its priority to high in task manager (You'll have to redo this each time you starup Reign of Kings)
Defrag your hard disk (This will have close to 0 impact on your FPS but will reduce loading times)
Disable Programs and Services from starting up using msconfig (Press Windows key + R and type: msconfig)
Update your drivers(I personally recommend Driver Booster from IObit software)
And at last, keep your Windows clean.
