Mouse won't work OSX & Mavericks

For some reason, I can't click with the mouse once the game loads. I can move the cursor, even select options with the keyboard and enter, but I can't click. Any ideas?

If you check you will see when you go off slightly it should high light. Then you can click on it. For what ever reason, it's like you have to be slightly off to pick the options.

I am having trouble where I only see partial of the screen since it's so big and I can't change the resolution since I can't see what I am suppose to do.

Thanks. Turns out it was an issue w/ System Prefs and giving the game control over the system, somehow…

So in the end how did you fix this? I'm having the same problem with my copy too. I'm on a macbook retina with mavericks too.

In System Prefs, go Security & Privacy > Accessibility, and in the window that says "Allow the apps below to control your computer" make sure that Steam is checked. That fixed it for me.
