Maybe the Logitech Gaming Software[support.logitech.com] would let you change which buttons on the controller do what? But, it sounds like the game might be expecting XInput controller input, in which case, perhaps more applicable would be this free Xbox 360 Controller Emulator[code.google.com]. I'm not familiar with that controller personally, however, so perhaps someone else can tell you if they have a better solution.
Thanks for your help!

I've also posted a sticky thread with the officially supported list of controllers in it. Something I probably should have done earlier. Doh!

When I get some time to mess with it, I might be able to rig it to work. :-)
EDIT: Actually I just saw that your game supports the PS4 controller, which I have several of as we own two PS4 systems, heh. I assume all I need to do is plug is a Dualshock4 with the USB cord the PS4 comes with and it should work? ..That sounds much easier then trying to manipulate it/emulate the Xbox controller with my Rumblepad2, lol.
Thanks for your feedback guys...

Did all that, Xinput shows my Dualshock is working (ie X button is a A key on the xbox controller test etc). All the buttons work, even the presure controller L2 and R2 are reading correctly as they are depressed.
Heckabomb does not work at all however.
Several other games that use a controller work flawlessly, including Geometry Wars 3 and Spelunky.
No matter what buttons I hit on the controller for Heckabomb, it won't read my controller. I've also tried re-starting Heckabomb and Steam several times after the dualshock4 is plugged in with no success.
..It would be nice to be able to try a controller with this game, hopefully you guys can get figure out what's up.

My confusion comes with why it doesn't work if the little program called InputMapper supposedly changes the movements and button presses so that the PC reads everything as it was an Xbox 360 controller already.
It seems to me that if this Dualshock4 is being read as an Xbox controller already, then Heckabomb SHOULD work perfectly.
{shrugs}
Anyhow, I am more then happy to help your developer by submitting whatever I need to if it helps. Just let me know what you need whenever you are ready.

The PS4 controller not working is a surprise. The InControl library (what I'm using to read controllers) specifically says it supports it. So, not sure what's going on there. Weird. Maybe it's not detecting it right in which case that little diagnostic tool in the other thread may be able to read some different values from that one too if you fancy giving it a try.
As far as the PS4 Dualshock4 controller, I've got it plugged in via a USB cord and I've downloaded the Xbox CE Drivers as well as a PS4 contoller app called Input Mapper. When I plug in my Dualshock to my PC and run the Input mapper app, I can do a test which shows a picture of the Xbox xontroller and every button tests perfectly when I press buttons and move the sticks on my Dualshock4.
I've tried this Dualshock with this same app, Input mapper, on about 7 different Steam games now, and every game works fine... except Heckabomb.
I tried to run your profiller app with my Dualshock4 as I did with my RumblePad 2 to post some test results that might in some way help you, but the program wouldn't let me test it saying that my Dualshock4 configuration is already in the game.
..Just to add, I have an official Sony Dualshock4, it's not an off-brand like a MadCatz or something.
- Maybe someone else who has a Dualshock4 can test it with this game and see if they have the same problem, or if it is just not working for me for some odd reason.

Just made an update live. With any luck, this is going to get the game to support your Rumblepad 2. I'll be very interested to find out if it actually does or not!
Cheers,
Alli
Keep up the good work, and great game..

I might be able to trick the ControllerProfiler thing into treat the Dualshock4 as an unknown device maybe, then we could check out its values and maybe find out what's wrong with the built-in profile for it. May get back to you on that.
Thanks for helping to get this working!
Cheers,
Alli
One thing oddly that does work with the Dualshock4 that I found odd was the touchpad on it. I can move the cursor around the screen on Heckabomb using the Dualshock4 touchpad, but the sticks and buttons don't seem to do anything at all.
Also, after your update on March 2, I was happy to see that my Logitech Rumblepad 2 was working great. Just tried to play Heckabomb again today on March 8 with my same controller the Rumblepad 2, and it wont work at all. I've tried restarting the game several times, as well as re-plugigng in my Rumblepad 2 a few times. Also, my Rumblepad 2 is working with other games, but Heckabomb once again doesn't seem to see it at all.
