Kraken beak

Is there/will be a kraken in the game? There is a shield that requires its beak to be crafted. If so what other monsters can we see in the future?

Hi there, the Kraken beak shield is from a quest, though it does indeed show it as craftable ;) Well we can't confirm all the monsters right now, but there will certainly be more and more have been modelled, I am in fact, looking at a Promethean in a folder right now :)

I went west .No goods to trade and quest rewards so bad losing gold. No loot on ships so no gold and no poss to update . Is game meant to be played in starting area only atm?

No you can travel to Bretonnia as well. So you have seen no gold whatsoever on other ships? Have you seen trade goods once you have boarded enemy ships? We have many player saying the opposite that it is too easy to upgrade, which is being dealt with in the campaign but interested to hear your viewpoint on it.

One of the Norscan ships that attacked me in port last night has a few scraps of resources but for the most part none of the ships I encountered (10-12 total) had more than 0 tons of cargo.
