Capturing Ports

Is this actually possible? When i attack ports the option i get are raze, cannibalize and loot. Then there's also an potion for capture, but this is always unavailable, and there is no popup to say what is needed.

To capture a port, it will depend on your faction/race (human/chaos faction for races). Any nonhuman faction will raze ports along with the other choice you made.
As a human, you need to join a faction, such as Empire, Marienburg, etc, then find a port that does not have their flag on the map. You cannot capture Pirate Ports.
