Game crashes on start up

I don't even get to any menu it just opens for about 5 seconds and then crashes all my other games work fine I am on a 4090 with updated drivers so not sure what else to do

Hey Madseng, really sorry to hear you are one of a few players effected by this bug. We`ll have a hot fix released for this tomrorow morning.

Meanwhile, you can do this simple step to fix the problem.

-Right-click on your KotC.exe (Knights of the Crusades) shortcut on the desktop, and select 'Properties'.
-In the 'Target' field, add " -w" (with a space before '-w') at the end of the existing line.
Click 'Apply' and then 'OK'.

If game still doesn`t work after this, please follow this step:

• Navigate to C:/users/YOUR USERNAME/AppData/local/kotc/
  
  
• In that folder, locate and delete file called local_saved_data
  
  
• In that folder open a file called local_saved_data. You can edit it with any text editor (right click - open with - Notepad, or any other similar program)
  
  
• Inside the file you`ll fine two strings <v name="ScreenResolutionX" and <v name="ScreenResolutionY"
  
  
• Now edit these strings and enter same values as your desktop resolution.
  For example for 4k:
  <v name="ScreenResolutionX" type="float">3840.000000</v>
  <v name="ScreenResolutionY" type="float">2160.000000</v>
