Very exciting news to share today – Knights of the Crusades finally has a release date – we will be launching in Early Access on May 5th.

Crusade Across the Medieval World

Knights of the Crusades takes you on a grand journey through the First Crusade and beyond—across the Holy Land, Spain, North Africa, and Eastern Europe. From a humble knight or captain, rise to power through tactical warfare, diplomacy, and conquest. Participate in iconic battles like the defense of Edessa or the Reconquista, and shape the fate of Christendom through your actions.

Warfare, Faith, and Strategy

Engage in massive real-time battles with thousands of soldiers. Besiege mighty cities, fend off ambushes, and master the art of survival on brutal medieval battlefields. Build and upgrade cities, manage vital resources, and wield faith as a weapon—piety is your currency for divine favor, political influence, and avoiding excommunication. Hey Everyone,

We’re excited to announce that our game is officially moving forward under a new title: Knights of the Crusades.

Previously known by the working title Crusader Knights: Templars, this change reflects the broader vision of the game - capturing not just the story of the Templar Order, but the full scope of the brutal and complex world of the early Crusades. The name may be changing, but our commitment to gritty historical realism, rich narrative, and immersive gameplay remains the same.

Thank you to everyone who’s followed us on this journey so far. More updates are coming soon - the war for the Holy Land is on the horizon.

I am thrilled to present Crusader Knights Templars – built from the ground up, this is our most ambitious historical strategy title yet.

The Game

The game starts at the dawn of the First Crusade, as you take command of a small group of knights, forging your own holy order in the chaos of war. But this is just the beginning.

Over the next two centuries, you'll expand your order into a powerful multinational force, navigating the shifting tides of history—from crusades and wars to diplomacy and finance—until your once-humble brotherhood becomes the most feared and influential organization in the medieval world.

The Publisher

We’re also excited to announce our partnership with indie.IO, a publisher focused on helping indie developers bring their vision to life. With their support, we’re refining CKT and reaching more players worldwide.

The Demo

Even better—the demo is now live, letting you play one of the campaigns where you found and grow your Holy Order. And we’re gearing up for Steam Next Fest, where we’ll showcase new gameplay, developer insights, and updates leading up to launch.

OK guy I defended your recent title but now this is just ridiculous, stop releasing so many games and focus on improving just one. None of your games feel very different other than the skins, I mean the gigs up

Demo feedback from new player

New player here, from what I can tell dev seems to push out more or less the same game over and over again, but that's irrelevant to me because I'm completely new to these games. It's a very intriguing idea. Like Crusader Kings, but all in real time, even the city management. It's all very interesting as a game idea. The graphics are in some ways charming (the models are nice), but the tiling on the terrain is awfully jarring. Come on, texture atlases and material layering are a very simple idea to imple...
