I want to reccomend this game for charm alone, but the gameplay experience is very rough and unpolished. You're kinda dropped into the world with little in the way of direction or goals. I'd love a small NPC interaction to show you the ropes of buying/selling and giving you an objective to build towards. Perhaps Pops is sick and we need to make money for medicine - even the ghost of grandpa checking in on you after X days or something to incentivze play. Currently this feels like a failed attempt at a clicker style game - number go big.

The game feel is also off. The character moves just a tad slower than I'd like - perhaps an upgrade to increase that? Menus are confusing and when you 'pause' the game is stull running and interactive. I accidently slept trying to adjust the volume. There needs to be cleaner states between interacting with NPCs and Buying/Selling vs wandering the world. Put a delay timer after interactions to prevent the player from accidently talking to NPCs a dozen times before you can move. Also make the cursor smaller - yikes that hand takes up too much screen space!

Overall this game feels like a game jam entry. Needs some more time in the oven.

The game is fun as long as you modulate your expectations before playing it. This game is mostly a stock market simulator with a charming aesthetic designed to look like a Nintendo 64 game. You buy stuff cheap, sell it for more, rinse and repeat until you get enough money to unlock everything. It's fun for a few hours at a time but the loop is a little shallow and the title is almost entirely worth playing based on it's style.

Bro f**ck this game, I got the dude to spawn in to get the S ending, and I chose to get the other endings first. HUGE mistake, when reloading, he disappears and you have to play the game all over again just for that ending. Mind you, while I totally understand what the developer was intending here, I just have to say that this game is definitely not for me. It is simply too repetitive. The art is really well done and the game is charming, but man I don't think I have it in me to play 3 more hours to get that one ending for all the achievements. Pls if there is a God, I need SuitNtie to spawn in merchantland so I don't suffer.

Edit: I played the game again, and I think I had a better time. I finished it in an hour and a half, knowing what to do and knowing what to buy first and hold on to before purchasing.
